Tomorrow Sunday, 14th September’14 - Island-Hikers Club goes to Quare River Valencia at 7:00am

The exploration to the pools and waterfall is a thirty minute walk alongside the river bank. There is the option to walk further upstream where there are additional basins to discover. The terrain is mostly flat with gentle inclines and the trail passes through abandon agriculture land.

Note that bathing is optional and does not require one to get wet.

This production supports two charities that are very close to our hearts:
~ The Just Because Foundation ~ Living Water Community

¡Viva!- a Musical Production, is a love story based in Spain, featured live flamenco music by Flamenco Guitarist Stefan Roach and his fellow musicians and Spanish dances.

It was a collaboration of Cindon Productions and Rhythmika Ltd. The script, which was creatively crafted by Darrion Narine, contains much humour, while the dances are choreographed by the team at Rhythmika Ltd, led by Ruth Jodhan-de Gannes.

Green seasoning was traditionally ground daily on an basis using grinding stones, a Seal (pronounced sil) - A small stone slab base and Lorha - A round stone.

These were made from natural stone found near rivers.

Curry powders and chutneys were also made using the Seal and Lorha.

Then came the mill.

Thanks to modern technology we have blenders and food processors, but one must wonder how much flavor is lost with these shortcuts.

The Priority Bus Route, from Arima to Port of Spain, Opens Tomorrow (20-9-14), from 7 am to 6 pm.

This is in order to ensure the free flow of traffic while a number of road rehabilitation and other projects are executed.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers.

Drivers are asked to comply with instructions from Police Officers on site to facilitate the safe flow of traffic in an orderly manner.
