Gracen i tryna update my software for the e72 but when i go to the nokia site to download im not getting through. It opens ovi, then i do a search to see if there is any updates available, but it shows none, despite the fact that the phone is telling me an update is available and i need to download it via pc. Any suggestions?

Don't use the Nokia website. Download nokia PC suite. First...you gotta back up all your data(either on your memory card/pc using PC suite)

Connect your phone to your PC via USB and open up Nokia PC suite

Select Update phone software(providing that you backed up all your data) A window will come up and it will search for available updates.

If it finds an available update its going to ask you if you want to do it. Select yes and your software will begin updating.


Your phone will restart when it's finished. You will now need to restore the items you backed up.


NB: If you backup data on your memory card it stays there. Sometimes it takes up alot of memory. You can delete the backup data after restoring your items using a program called X-Plore. I provided the link for this program on the previous page I believe.
