Lockdown could never help as long as the borders open.

They are having this lockdown at a higher infection rate than when we did. So if you are holding them up as an example for us, they are not.
Plus they have a smaller population than Tobago so proportionally they cant be too correlated with us.

All of these countries (except us) detected early signs of an out break and implemented strict lockdowns. We in the other hand waited 6 to 7 weeks before taking real action.

We are too restricted given the number of cases, ease up is necessary as it's affecting people's livelihoods far too long. Not to mention the adverse effects on kids absent from school.
What fallout? Do you know where the expats coming from? Maybe the expats countries already have good vaccination programs..... maybe a local can do the work of an expat....but it's a red govt measure, so it's automatically a failure.... carry on.hover11 wrote:So all those expats who work in the oilfield who not vaccinated will be barred from Trinidad smh I wait too see the international fallout

What is the lockdown in those Asian countries now, was the average restricted life in T&T when our cases started to rise in March. The restricted life that you said was too restrictive and that ppl needed an ease.
