Total weight was about 25 lbs with stuff like TV wall mount, storage bins, cables/cable organizers. Total value $250 USD.
Cost delivered was $569 TTD..
Not bad
neexis wrote:scotty_buttons wrote:Ahh. Well I catered for the following week shipping (after arrival at Seabox address) as well. I figured it would arrive two weeks after leaving Miami. Would wait till next week then.
Thanks Rory
Had some packages that were delivered since the 9th of August but there was no notification. Called them last week and they were able to confirm that the packages had sailed. They were supposed to deliver today and they did.
There was a delay with the shipment from Aug 19th that instead shipped today.
According to the rep on the phone, sailings are actually on Fridays.. not Wednesdays as I previously thought.
scotty_buttons wrote:Apparently my packages were here since two weeks ago. They said I should've gotten email notifications but I didnt. Nothing in junk either.
But packages took about 2 weeks to reach here since arrival at Seabox Miami.
Question: this thing that WS says about USPS packages being actually delivered at least three to five days later after tracking says 'package delivered' because it goes to the post office which supposedly sends in batches or Websource has to go collect in batches, is that true?
I've gotten feedback from two sellers that I do business with in the US saying, more or less, that that's BS.

Seems to be true from what I've observed.

Same as well... USPS packages always tend to show up a few days after it's actually marked as "delivered"

Yeah it happens to me too. But the eBay and Amazon sellers said that this should not be so. It should be delivered straight to the freight forwarder's address and not to the post office. And hinted that most likely it's either they don't like sorting through USPS stuff for whatever reason or have some understanding/deal with FedEx or UPS, hence why they just throw that reason there to discourage customers from using USPS.
Wish there were some way to verify what's really going on personally and/or independently.
Cuz highly annoying to choose two day USPS shipping to reach Trinidad in a certain time (when UPS or Fedex aren't feasible or available) for it to reach a whole two weeks after I order.
Any other skybox has this problem with USPS ?

My stuff shows up in my skybox acct like clockwork 1 or 2 days after being 'delivered' by USPS. So I don't usually fret much when my stuff gets shipped priority mail. I actually use it if it's offered for free.

which seabox or sea shipping company do you recommend .
I am in no hurry for it even if it takes a month or more : no issue , just looking for reliable and cheap.
I can purchase it from amazon or ebay as these sites/stores seem to have it the cheapest.
https://www.amazon.com/Reese-Towpower-3 ... e+towpower
looking through I see tropical express courier was recommended and they seem to be the cheapest.
Any other suggestions or reasons not to choose them
Thank you for your input
Update us on this when u get thru, including which company u used.
I may need something similar soon.

Well that's the thing I have always been hesitant to use sea shipping because of having to interact with customs. Now it just straight forward like with my skybox . Order on Amazon and its just to collect . No set of nonesense headache to clear stuff
