Salt for sure... If that were a possibility Breaking Bad may not have gotten to season 2.

If Kubz dies it will change Trinidad forever. Also it will bring a lot of international attention to this project...and prying international eyes will find stuff that will only make Kams look bad. I think she's playing it right if its a game of chicken and he bluffs...but if he dies, help us all.

for every 1 kublalsingh supporter, there is 100,000 against him.

Every morning from 6 am to 9 am, there are tens of thousands of people stuck in traffic from mon desir to galconda, all of them cursing Kublalsingh, hoping he would die.

UWI lobbyist delivers petition in support of highway

Last Updated on 09.10.2014
Published Date

A petition supporting the construction of the Debe to Mon Desir section of the Point Fortin highway has been sent to Dr. Wayne Kublalsingh by students of the University of the West Indies.

On Wednesday morning, University lobbyist Ravi Maharaj handed over the petition to Hayden Kublalsingh before his brother, environmentalist Dr. Wayne Kublalsingh, arrived at the Office of the Prime Minister in St. Clair to start Day 21 of his hunger strike.

Mr. Maharaj said following Tuesday's panel discussion at the University on the current stand off, the petition was passed around and 100 participants signed.

The students contend that with the construction of the UWI Debe campus, the Debe to Mon Desir portion of the highway will be necessary.

I think ..
Once the policy is in force two years or more suicide is payable.

Whether this is suicide is matter of intent.

Depends on the company...but the above is the standard for a major provider locally...others will NOT pay if its suicide regardless of time period.

stay there and feel so...perception is everything. We in Trinidad don't care but trust me if he dies and word spreads than an environmentalist and University professor perishes protesting a highway eyes will be on us. World is a small place and everyone is looking for a news story.

Residents were formed into a group by Dr Roodal Moonilal (Opposition Member of Parliament at the time) and protested outside Trintoplan’s head office in Tacarigua. It was only then that residents were told that a six lane highway across the Lagoon was being proposed. Residents began to lobby against this Highway. They wrote letters and visited the offices of their MP’s. They formed a group to stop this highway, called the Debe to San Francique Action Committee of which Dr Roodal Moonilal was the Chairman.

They got assurances of support to stop the highway from leading politicians (Dr Tim Gopeesingh, Chandresh Sharma, Prakash Ramadhar and Kamla Persad Bissesar) all of whom are now in the current government. They also attended public consultations hosted by the state agencies. In 2006, Mr Harrypersad Dookie outlined the significant permanent negative impacts that the Debe to Mon Desir Highway would have on the hydrology of the Oropuche Lagoon. Mr. Alfred Sukal proposed the re-route option which we are now advocating. Mr Balliram Siew outlined the disastrous social and economic impacts. All these are on record at the Environmental Management Authority, but all their cries were dismissed. On April 20 th 2010, one month before the General Elections, the EMA awarded a Certificate of Environmental Clearance to the Ministry of Works to build the Debe to Mon Desir Highway.

It would make a riveting story

They will know he was a fraud when he dies. They will laugh at the fools that supported him and believed that he was really on a hunger strike and gave a sheit about the environment.

Lost 53lbs after 18 days and needed weeks to regain health. That sounds more appropriate!

I am surprised no one is publicly calling BS to Kubs so called hunger strike..
