I surprised them doubles and aloo pie vendors don't keep a container of acid nearby.

If the chit get on the money and it unusable, they should whip him daily until he comes up with the same amount, plus interest for distressing the owner.
And then dump his ass in the Oropuche river.

Bullet in classroom, teacher grazed
Yvonne Webb

A teacher was shot in the shoulder by a stray bullet while her class was in session, shortly after 10 am on Wednesday, at the South East Port of Spain Secondary School (SEPOS).

Reports say a Form Two student in the class the teacher was teaching may have also been struck by fragments.

Colleagues called an ambulance, which took the teacher to the Port of Spain General Hospital.

Other teachers called the police. They arrived shortly after and cordoned off the area.

The TT Unified Teachers Association confirmed the incident and said this was too close for comfort.

The association said preliminary reports indicate the bullet was not lodged in the teacher's flesh but may have grazed her.

“Grazed, lodged, that is too much going on. Just as an ambulance was called today it could have been the forensic department coming to collect a body and that is not what we want.”

A TTUTA rep said this is not the first time bullets have been found at the school, and the area is prone to violence.

“SEPOS has had its challenges because of where it is located and when there is violence downtown, it finds its way into the school compound.

“Bullets have been found in the guard booths, and in the walls of the school already. This one on Wednesday made its way through the wall and into a human who had nothing to do with what was going on outside of the wall and that is the problem.

“Neither the teacher or students were targets but it is the violence that is happening outside the school that has not entered into the school wall.”

TTUTA said while the association knows it is impossible to have a police officer on the doorstep, when such incidents start to take place, teachers start asking for this kind of support.

TTUTA said the complement of security at the school is minimal and the Ministry of Education and other stakeholders need to find a different kind of protocol for dealing with schools in these high-risk areas.

Newsday visited the school at 11 am and students were milling about as normal and there was no sign of police presence. A security officer at the school said that no one was being allowed inside until futher notice.

One woman told Newsday she heard multiple shots but she thought the shooting occurred at Upper Nelson Street and not at the school. The other residents interviewed said they were not there at the time or had not heard anything.

Just got a call from wifey. Apparently some guy was attempting to kick in my neighbours' front door to burgle the place. Wifey heard the noise and when she realized what was taking place, she followed the guy and asked him what he was doing in the area, upon which he ran off. She jumped into her vehicle and attempted to cut him off using the cul-de-sac, but he jumped into a waiting vehicle and escaped.

A sergeant in the T&T Defence Force was arrested by officers of the Special Operations Response Team (SORT) yesterday for the alleged rape and buggery of a child.

Nah den some will claim they being profiled.

By the way bandit season is all year round, but from October to March/early April is the Black Friday sale.

Divali - because goons have to get money for Fireworks and paratha in late October/early November

then it goes smoothly into Christmas because goons need ham/alco/christmas tree/presents,

which then goes on to Carnival because goons need costume/the freshest kits/all inclusive fete ticket/boat cruise

and after Carnival some need to pay back debts when they income from stealing wasn't enough.

That is 7 months you have to be extra cautious and wind up your glass or cross the road.

Seriously though, she is regretting the adrenaline rush which made her confront the guy, as he obviously knows where she lives, but Jah is good, and I have three well fed dogs and security.

An ad wagon just sped off after ditching the credentials belonging to a woman. We assume she was robbed and kidnapped. Another witness collected the items and went to make a report. Hopefully the release the woman somewhere and it's not a rape reported in papers tomorrow.

The way in which this country is heading more people need to learn proper self defense and how to access a situation and if there is a chance to disarm and use same said weapon and stick it up the attackers ports of entry and pull the trigger. With that said we also need cooperation from police in instances like this that protection be given to the person who was defending themselves and to hell with the bandit. :fist: :fist:

Bandits are lazy pieces of sh1t and do not deserve life.
