Thunderstorm around midnight. Lightning buzzed the electricity in my area and i actually heard the noise of it over my speakers. Followed by a loud thunder boom. So i turned off everything until the local storm passed.

It's showing, it's item #11
The radar however is stuck for some months now.
The T&T MET Office website where that image comes from says "Currently Experiencing Some Technical Issues with the Radar products. We are sorry for any inconvenience experienced."

I have inquired about the radar and what ttmo was saying is that it needs repair/ servicing and whichever government agency is responsible for this doesn't seem to be putting this as priority at the moment. You would think as the rainy season is upon us they would have sorted this out already.

Could be due to the lockdown and borders closed the required work can't be done on the radar

Radar was down since last year, maybe January this year. I thought they would have fixed it in the 6 months dry season.

Some nice intermittent showers in Tunapuna this morning.
Moderate intensity for around 5 mins and then stopping. Sky still seems sunny all around so probably very localized

This. Is amazing how we learn to appreciate some things only after not having it for a while.

What nice about intermittent showers?

All it does is cause more humidity, combined by sunlight hitting the wet roads etc makes it for a steamy sweaty nightmare.

I prefer ah whole day rain.

It waters the plants, it keeps the dust down and it rains just enough to wash down the drain without causing overflowing (doesn't flood in my area)
