What utter nonsense....they played a group stage of 2 matches and now a 2nd stage with 3 matches. They might as well just eliminate the two Associate members and lowest 2 ranked Test teams from the tournament from the onset and go straight to the super 8s and call it the ESPN or Star Asia cup seeing as TV time takes preference over sensible scheduling.

This tournament just not flowing as previous.I am just not getting into the mood, maybe super 8 will cause a proper feeling of excitement.
I am still not certain that the WI have delivered a proper performance which allows proper determination of relative competitiveness.
I continue to hope for the best.

Normally, when the competition good and I just can't draw myself away 'I call in sick in my own business'.
...Maybe,I shouldn't have posted that!

not only that but imagine they take all the first place qualifiers and put them in one group
all the 2nd place in one group...
so technically it would have been better to come second

i thought they were a bit scrappy in the field today
some misfields, half chances where ball dropping between fielders and ramdin missed stumpings

at the same time, that 6 russel saved!....WOW!

OK,the cricket today met the req'd standard. As far as the WI performance,I endorse the use of Badrie if only because no pace is offered to the batsmen.
Hope the WI focuses on giving the batsmen very little to work with.
WI top order batsmen clearly have ability to take apart any bowling, but they must take a couple of balls to settle.
The size of the WI players is quite intimidating this time around.
