Eyes of Trinidad, you need to take a defensive driving course. You are following waaay too closely on the highway..........in your second vid, around 0:30, you were again following too closely to a car which was in addition obscuring your view with his exhaust.........you were ridiculously close to him when he pulled out to pass the car that was pulling to the side......you again ran up on him when he slowed to let pedestrians cross.....what the heck were you looking at? Worse yet, you are bumpering a TAXI, which can be expected to slow down frequently and stop without signalling...you need to be looking at more than just the car in front of you, especially if you have a fascination with his bumper.......I stopped watching after that

Congrats on nominating yourself for idiot driver of the day

We noticed that the location of the cam gave the illusion that we were 'bumpering' the vehicle in front, we hope to resolve that.[/quote]

BS
on the highway, you were typically a second behind the car in front.......ion vid one, when the car in front began merging left, you began accelerating before he even cleared your lane.........give WagonR a call or send him a PM.....he'll sort you out right :|

Thank you for your feedback. I did my defensive driving course through Tower BSL (Driver Training Division). I have been driving over 20 years with one accident in that time. I also indicated (previous post) the issue with the camera creating the illusion of 'bumpering'. All comments are appreciated. Now that I have been nominated I hope you will support me. :P

review your vids and then go back to your DDC book (hopefully you didn't give it to your kid as a colouring book) and see how to calculate following distance

and if you recognize the driver in front is a tuntun, would you keep following him closely?
Luckily the camera is tricking us and you not really trapped behind him from running up on him a second time in slow moving traffic..............

Would mounting the camera on the dash or behind the rear view mirror solve the problem of the bumpering illusion?

Some of the driving there looks a bit like the mirror.

But EoT... You never hear bout keeping left except when overtaking? You in the right lane whole time apart from when you vex a slower guy doing what you're doing.
I'll probably end up in your video one day because I tend to go all the way down the left & merge on the right when i ready to overtake.
& I also call BS on illusion of bumpering.
& in the first vid.. What you doing parked on a corner slight curve like that? The road have a slight curve & thats where you look to pull aside? & then you probably vex the other drivers coming close to you because they being cautious & couldn't see far enough round the bend.

That long line of traffic on the right should not be in the first place. That happens because people don't move back into the left lane. What i do & is very mistakenly referred to as cutting in & out by others who stay in the right lane. I don't speed down the left & abruptly cut into a small space, narrowly missing other vehicles. I do however drive down the left lane in my pace (usually 5-10km/h faster than the right lane), flick my indicator on when i approaching a vehicle on the left & switch when it clear (usually when someone leaves too big a gap), then i flick on the left indicator & back in the left lane (provided it's clear). & i very rarely use my brakes, usually only when traffic coming to a standstill.

I really don't remember seeing a long line in front of you when you overtook on the left, maybe it's the angle of the camera. Like with the Civic for one after San'do flyover i think it was.

Our sincere apologies. The driver in those clips has been actively involved in Motorsport for many years and was 'taken aback' by some of the comments. We have asked the driver in those vids to refrain from further comment until discussed by the group.

To everyone who responded, your comments and observations are truly welcomed. We are still testing equipment and your input will help us improve (in all aspects). Please note that this project is not restricted to only cameras in vehicles.

Regards,
EoT

Morning People,

I have to big up PCT 5164, this woman choose to stop in Golconda while the traffic light in green to let those people from inside union hall to merge almost making me and everyone else run to each other.

And to top it off, she cant take horn, she decided to race me down to blow horn behind me...thinking she would get a reaction....

*puts on indicator, merges on to the left lane and lets her pass.

I hope she felt good making herself a complete idiot.
