The main thing I have to protect the dog from are frogs. Had an overnight stay at the vet last time he attacked two frogs in an hour sigh

Meen touching them thing. The vet explained that the dogs do get high and it was essentially like an overdose for them when they bite a frog which could lead to rapid heartbeat and death. We managed to get him to treatment in time

That's definitely a cascabel. They make decent pets, just need some branches in the enclosure, maybe a small live plant as well.
