Shouldn't the onus be on the PNM to prove the authenticity of the 'document' since they introduced it?
Hal Danziger, a Web development programmer from Holbrook, New York, paid $76 for his Gmail account. It's the first thing he's ever bought on EBay.
"I did a search on Google News to find out when Gmail would launch publicly, and I saw a mention of the EBay auctions. I wanted to get a good username before the service launched, so I placed a bid," he says. Unfortunately for Danziger, his first choice was unavailable: Gmail usernames must be at least six characters long.

In the heat of the parliamentary debate of the no-confidence motion yesterday, a woman experienced chest pains, forcing the debate to halt as Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar went to her side.
Debate was concluded on the Opposition’s motion of no confidence in the Prime Minister and the Government.
At 5.58 p.m., Persad-Bissessar was on her feet in full swing, accusing Opposition Leader Dr Keith Rowley of being the “great deceiver” as she defended herself and her Government against an alleged Section 34 e-mail conspiracy.
At that time, a woman in the public gallery—United National Congress (UNC) activist Patsy Lezama, known as “Miss Patsy”—stated coughing and appeared to have problems breathing.
The Parliament Chamber at Tower D of the International Waterfront Centre is such that the public gallery faces the Government benches.
Upon seeing Lezama in some difficulty, Persad-Bissessar paused and asked someone to attend to her. She then called on Education Minister Dr Tim Gopeesingh to assist.
Gopeesingh rushed to her side, and after a few seconds, House Speaker Wade Mark moved that the House be suspended for 15 minutes.
A number of Government ministers and MPs went to Lezama’s side to assist, including Persad-Bissessar.
Lezama was unable to walk out of the Chamber; she sat on a chair holding her chest as the Prime Minister spoke softly to her.
Minister of Community Development Winston “Gypsy” Peters was overheard questioning why there was not a medical team or ambulance on site to deal with emergencies.
By 6.13 p.m., fire officers arrived with a stretcher and carried Lezama out to an ambulance, and she was rushed to the Port of Spain General Hospital.
Minutes before this incident as the Prime Minister got on her feet to speak, all members of the Opposition walked out of the Chamber as Government members booed and shouted, “Don’t come back!”

In 6 months, no-one from the PNM ever thought about verifying the email address. They couldn't just send one email to anan@gmail.com saying HYMC to see if it would be delivered?

“This Opposition will settle for nothing less than an independent investigation of people (including international experts),” Rowley said. He said what the country could not countenance was “people who are supposed to be the targets of the allegation taking the position that they are innocent. That’s unacceptable.” Science and Technology Minister Dr Rupert Griffith asked Rowley at that point when he would be resigning.

Former President Maxwell Richards confirmed that Dr. Keith Rowley did indeed pass said e-mail documents on to him late last year. Therefore if anyone wants to say that he sat on the information their statement would be uninformed and untrue.
More-so Mr Richards has said that he in turn passed these documents on to the Integrity Commission who have stated that they will make a statement on this shortly. So the onus is now on the Integrity Commission as to explain if they did their own investigations and what conclusions if any have been found within the past six months and WHY are we now learning of this
I think that Dr. Rowley may have just got tired of waiting and being a politician decided to pr-empt the P.P's anniversary celebrations and local govt elections with this mark now. I mean everybody agrees that the Police has a good enough track record of slow moving investigations and this can cause anyone to get trigger happy.
The leader of the Opposition's job is not to be a forensic computer expert, neither is the leader of the Government's job is to be a computer analyst and state whether yay or nay. He like many others does not trust the Police and so passed it on to the President to do the necessary. Carry on
