btw does vudu require anything special wrt cc information? my xbox charges my paypal acct so it was never an issue, but i wanna make sure first before entering any cc info on my ps3 vudu.
I use my local cc to purchase movies on vudu

no problems

Vudu HDX is 1080p and 5.1 digital audio

The Wii is not HD anyway :|

Q: Can Wii do high-definition graphics?

A: Technically, it's possible, but it's also implausible. Wii is more powerful than Xbox, a console whose library included a handful of games that ran in 720p HD. Furthermore, Wii features a multi-audio/video port with the option for component out, meaning that 480p through 720p/1080i resolutions are attainable, at least where wiring is concerned. However, due to both a miniscule amount of system RAM and less computing power when compared to HD-ready consoles like Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the chance that most Wii games will break the 480p visual barrier is slim.

In fact, Nintendo executives have gone so far as to comment on the record that Wii does not support high-definition. The company wants Wii to be "quiet, small and affordable," and has thus focused its attention on the system's innovative new controller.

Nintendo's leaders have indicated that high-definition graphics are the future. But unlike Sony and Microsoft, which believe that the "HD era" has begun, the Big N asserts that widespread HD adoption will take years. The company's successor to Wii will support high-definition visuals.

^ strange - because the ONLY place the DNS is set is on my router. My PS3,, PC, laptops, iPhones and iPad all run netflix with no problems.

what needs to be done though is that recently unblock-us.com changed their policy and you now have to "check your service" every so often, or every time your ISP changes your IP address to ensure that you are running correctly. A visit to the unblock-us.com homepage will do a quick auto check and then you can continue to use netflix etc.

it was discussed a few pages ago in this topic.

Has anyone ever tried using a dns from unblock-us over TSTT's wimax?

While I can connect to Latin america netflix over my devices , when I set up the dns on my router or device it is still the same. I can ping unblock-us dns but it is something to do with the connection. I was speaking to a friend who suggested that wimax/blink on the go has the dns on their firmware and there isn't anything much I can do.

Basically what unblock-us is saying that my account is active but no device has their DNS installed on it. I have setup the connections through my router as well as connecting the wimax modem to my pc and ps3 with the settings exact as how unblock-us showed.

Any help would be appreciated.

^ I use the TSTT WiMax / Hotspot / IYP device to watch Netflix etc but instead of putting the DNS on the WiMax / Hotspot / IYP device, I put it on the device I am watching Netflix on e.g iPad, phone, laptop etc

Well I have tried that as well. I started going through the scenarios and I ended up plugging in the wimax directly to my ps3 , set up the dns as the walk through via unblock us and still nada.

^ plugging in the WiMax device to your PS3 wont do much more than charge the battery.

reset all the settings you put into the WiMax device initially

then follow these settings
http://support.unblock-us.com/customer/ ... les/291530

you can then use the PS3 web browser to go http://www.unblock-us.com and check the service.

It is IMPORTANT that you check the service before using it as your IP address can change from the last time and so it needs to be updated on their system.

I think what you are suggesting is that I have a blink on the go/hotspot/iyp device. If my description before kinda of mislead that would be my bad. What I have is Huwaei Wimax modem that TSTT gave out. This comes with Wifi and it's own ethernet port. It is not a usb device, only way you can connect is via ethernet or wifi if TSTT enables it.

Those are the exact instructions I followed from unblock us.

Set DNS manually on ps3, restart ps3, log on to unblock-us.com via the ps3 web browser and clicked checked service. Everytime I do I keep getting the same message " dns not installed on device".

You can connect to netflix without any VPN or DNS changing. Just you would have the Latin American version of Netflix not the American. The latin American has way less content that the American.

download spot flux or some other program that masks your ip address and puts up a U.S one instead and you get all the american line up

If you login on your regular US Netflix account without any service like unblock us it will load the LA version. You can also get them to use MasterCard cards by this way as well.

I took off my Netflix. I noticed it got super boring honestly (I was on LA version for a while). The US one is probably worth it but I hardly used it as well.

Anyone keeps getting THE ORANGE BAR "Looks like your internet address has changed.
Please click here to activate your new internet address" using unblockus.com. I never used to get this before. I'm on FLOW broadband; I don't know if FLOW started using dynamic IP addresses :?

ITS GETTING REALLY ANNOYING as I have to reset it 4 times a day or more!

Yup that is correct, spot flux while free requires that you pass all your traffic through their VPN portal hence why you would find it slower than unblock us.

When you use unblock us, by changing your dns on your router/ps3 etc you are logging on to the proxy servers than unblock us host and route through them, gaining access to US websites and content.
