The way T&T is being treated by the weather is as if every now and again we are given a proper bath after a few days of sweating in the heat.
A day of cleaning followed by days of heat.

They will issue it when the floods reach 4' high...

T&T ODPM is very reactive, instead of being proactive.

System looks like it moving North more than it's moving west. Unless gathers itself properly the likelihood of a direct impact of this system seem minimal. Hook what the radar saying?

The official tropical weather thread: image updates on pg 1

Postby Duane 3NE 2NR » October 21st, 2011, 9:48 am

^ once a system starts to develop it will start to move north, moving it away from us.

All the bad weather and floods we've gotten recently have been from tropical waves and ITCZ systems that don't develop enough so they continue a westerly path and end up over Trinidad

ZCZC MIATWOAT ALL
TTAA00 KNHC DDHHMM

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
800 AM EDT FRI OCT 21 2011

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

1. A NEARLY STATIONARY AREA OF LOW PRESSURE LOCATED OVER THE WESTERN
CARIBBEAN SEA BETWEEN NICARAGUA AND JAMAICA IS PRODUCING A LARGE
AREA OF CLOUDINESS AND THUNDERSTORMS. SURFACE PRESSURES ARE FALLING
AND UPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO BECOME MORE FAVORABLE FOR
DEVELOPMENT. THIS SYSTEM HAS A MEDIUM CHANCE...30 PERCENT... OF
BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS.

2. A LARGE AREA OF DISTURBED WEATHER LOCATED A COUPLE HUNDRED MILES
SOUTHEAST OF THE WINDWARD ISLANDS REMAINS DISORGANIZED. ALTHOUGH
SURFACE PRESSURES ARE FALLING...DEVELOPMENT...IF ANY...WILL BE SLOW
TO OCCUR. THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW CHANCE...NEAR 10 PERCENT...OF
BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS. REGARDLESS OF
DEVELOPMENT...CLOUDINESS AND HEAVY RAINS WILL LIKELY SPREAD OVER
NORTHERN VENEZUELA AND THE SOUTHERN WINDWARD ISLANDS DURING THE
NEXT FEW DAYS.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.

Just received a message from the ODPM, stating to expect severe weather with the next 72 hours.

Seeing nothing on their website though.
