It's Autism Awareness month and we would like to thank Republic Bank for making a difference in the lives of children with autism.

Gareth has autism and has been coming to HHH for about 3 years and has transformed from an anxious fearful and self-injurious child to a calm, loving and cooperative boy who loves his time with us and the horses.

Emma has cerebral palsy and has been coming for hippo therapy at HHH for about 2 years.

Emma has made significant improvements in her motor function, core strength and balance, and is now able to walk faster and with greater control using her walker.

She is also now able to support and balance herself enough on the horse to ride with the reins independently which is a really big accomplishment for her.

Emma is also famous, having met and limed with the President during her school Carnival jump-up this year

We are very proud of Emma and the steady gains that she continues to make with her therapy

Local Calabash Alley ~ April30th-May3rd - Naparima Bowl



45 Years Ago, people across the country tuned into Radio Trinidad to listen to the first commissioned radio drama serial.

Calabash Alley went on air in November 2, 1970 and electrified the nation with its portrayal of life in Trinidad.

We are so excited to be connecting young actors of the National Theatre Arts Company with the classic work of Calabash Alley written by the venerable Freddie Kissoon.

Congratulations to the NTACTT cast and crew for last night's brilliant 'informance' at Trinidad Theatre Workshop and special thanks to Freddie Kisson for a legacy of local theatrical work that tells our stories while staying true to who we are, our flaws, our strengths and of course our sense of humour.

Public performances of Calabash Alley will take place April 30-May 3 at Naparima Bowl. Watch this space for details

Local Cascade ~ Mural Painting at SERVOL Junior Life Centre


The theme we chose was Patriotism - "how would you imagine a better Trinidad and Tobago", "what would you like to see?".

The students broke into groups of about 5 and they came up with ideas, words and drawings to create the mural based on the theme.

We then put all the ideas into one drawing which we could paint on a wall at the school.

Local Ocelot


At 8 days old the ocelot kit is doing well and growing nicely.

The eyes are still closed and mother is always there, as she spends all day nursing and sleeping.

At night ,mom comes out to catch a bite.

The kit's eyes are expected to remain closed for 15 to 18 days.

Once open it will begin exploring its den and immediate surroundings.

Local Princes Town ~ St. Stephen's Anglican Church


The 2 Poui trees are 135 years young.

Planted by Prince Albert and Prince George on their visit to Trinidad from England in 1880.

The town, fomerly known as 'Misson' ... was renamed Princes Town in honour of the Princes visit.

Located at the Eastern and Western side of the St. Stephen's Anglican Church in Princes Town, these two trees represent a part of History.

One would think that these Royal Poui would be declared National Landmarks, and as such be maintained and cared for to ensure their longevity.

Once lofty and majestic, these 2 monuments to history are now but a shadow of their former selves.

National Men's Rugby Team on Saturday25th at the CIC Grounds in the Nacra Final Championship Match.

The Trinidad and Tobago team got off to a great start as they outscored the Mexicans in the first Half 23-6.

The Mexican team came roaring back in the second period scoring first but TNT held their nerve and defended valiantly to eventually take the game TT30-Mex16
