So it has begun… as the Finance Bill 2016 is being presented in Parliament today.

This is the current listing of items subject to Duty and VAT.

Given the finance minister’s statement in his 2016 Budget presentation that the gov’t would review and adjust exemptions and zero-rated items “which are associated with non-essential or luxury items and which are not critically important to the livelihoods and basic cost of living of our citizens”, it would be interesting to see what changes on that listing.

Not meaning to speculate, but I think he obviously isn’t only referring to food items.

That list is the 2012 list ie the current rates. The new rates is likely to include more items.

Zilch....

I ordered based on reading somewhere that it takes about 3 to 4 weeks to get here. My niece's Christmas gift turning into birthday gift yes. It should reach before April right???

I ordered a package with tropical express since the 15th of December and I still haven't gotten it even though it got delivered in Miami more than a month ago.

Well whaddayaknow. I just checked the website. It there finally. "Packages in transit". So I'm guessing 3 weeks from now :?

When I tracked it on the website under "shipping history" I'm seeing that the ship left on the 15th. Due to arrive in Trinidad today. So hopefully by next week I'll get it.

anyone ever had an item lost with Websource? last week I received a package which had 2 door sweeps. when i opened it -nothing except the paper packaging

had to send them a strongly worded email to give me a refund of their charges

I had an s4 active stolen but thief left the data cable so they charged me for data cable and holly the "customer service manager" basically assured me the seller was trying a shot and never sent the phone. I got my money back from ebay and stopped using websource.

:wtf: never had such an issue with WS in the past. The only issue I have is that mail type sized items going missing and had no tracking, so the seller nor WS can track what is up...

also, I'm not 100% pleased with the fact that in the office now you pay on one side and collect on the other side... And you're paying before you collect... Is that how it is at other places? I mean it is really faster now but... next thing there is an issue with the package or the contents?

Im with tropical currently. Slow as hell and poor ass service. During the year speed is comparable with the best of them but christmas, FORGET ABOUT IT.

This year I shopping even earlier and with Transexpress only.

Aeropost has also always been collect then pay. No major issues regardless of time of year.

First time using SeaBox. Decided to try them based on the initial good reviews here but I'm having issues as well, albeit not as bad as some of the others have stated.

Package arrived at their warehouse on Friday Jan 8th. Was signed for by one of their employees but got no confirmation of receipt. Called the next week and was told they manifest items on Tuesdays so it should show up soon.
Still no trace of it on their online tracking system and they can't locate on their system either. Kept calling up to this week, they're saying that they have a backlog of Christmas packages they're trying to clear so maybe it's already on its way to Trinidad but just not manifested.
This is really frustrating and half of the time they don't even answer their phone. I really feel it for you guys who've been waiting since December. Don't think I'll be using their service again.
