The Congress of the People (COP) has denied ownership of a website bearing the mane "congressofthepeople.com”
The party issued a press release today claiming that the site was bogus and that it was the work of Independent Liberal Party (ILP) interim leader Jack Warner and his bag of dirty tricks.
Following is the full content of the release:
"The Congress of the People has discovered a bogus website which claims to be the Web Site of the COP. The web address of that website is “congressofthepeople.com”. This is not the web site of the Congress of the People.
The Congress of the People has 1 official web site and that web site address is “coptnt.com”.
Anyone accessing the bogus website will see that upon going to the “congressofthepeopl.com” address what appears is an advertisement of Jack Warner and his ILP.
This is the lowest form of political deception being practiced by Jack Warner and uses the good name of the Congress of the People to lure our members, supporters and any person interested in the COP to his dirty trick campaign.
This is the despicable kind of politics being practiced by a man who makes lofty claims on his platform while resorting to this kind of deception in a desperate effort to get elected by any means, fair or foul.
This activity is completely without moral or ethical standards and deserves the strongest condemnation.
