wow one of my friends is stuck in it but doesn't know what is the cause of all the traffic.so it most definitely is that areas on the highway are under water then?

yupp, right after freeport fly over!! its really bad
traffic backed up till almost chag flyover

if you heading north or know anyone leaving past freeport and coming on the highway
plz call them and tell them to be careful as they approach the flyover
there is a good amount of water crossing this side and it surprises you as the roads are dry and no rain is falling...
god alone know how i didnt hydroplane/skid off that highway!!
cause i was doing about 100k's, clear highway ahead and then "BAM!!"

so is anyone able to cross it heading southbound?because i know that south bound is lower that the north bound near there.i assume the main road will be in a mess because i am sure people started taking the alternative routes

someone who was driving from South to Freeport told me when they passed at around 8:50pm the water had receded however there was still flood water under the Freeport flyover at that time.

even in parts of central/Chaguanas/Cunupia reports are that the flood water is taking a LONG time to go down

heavy rain here now in Couva but that is just a passing cloud not a true repeat of yesterday..........cause all of it was blown out to sea before it could fall on land.

I went to Chaguanas to do a transaction Sat , on the way down my passenger pointed out the very dark clouds and we could have seen the rain falling form the clouds. One reaching the main bushiness area on the main rd through Chaguanas, there was torrential rainfall . This was at approximately 1:30pm. The intensity increased and no one was walking about, umbrellas were useless . We left at about 2pm , the rainfall had decreased in intensity by then , but expected some localized flooding and observing the drains as we approached the market we observed that this was in fact the case .

The main rd had about 1 foot of water and market rd as well . I decided to find my way to ramsaran st as I believed that area rarely floods, I followed a pickup along Marie st which had on avg one ft and little of water. I made my way to Ramsaran and it was fine until we had to cross the main rd again. Water at this junction was higher and drivers were indecisive on where to proceed . Stopping was not and option, i went along the Caroni Savannah until the road that leads to medfords or the overpass , there was water not that high, less than 1ft in that area as well.
