I don't think those routers can do that.

Also, getting really poor service these few nights.

I reset my Linksys router. I don't have a Flow router. So I'm not even sure if my internet problem was even Flow related.

I still have the old Arris modem with the removable battery and all. My internet has been really reliable for years honestly speaking.

You are not alone Ive been testing multiple routers at home with the same problem also clients have contacted me with similar problems on my personal network I use a Linksys E4200, E2500 and Nighthawk AC 1900 all have problems obtaining an IP address at specified times of the day so far it seems to be between 11:35 am and 12:35 a.m. to 1:15 a.m. I don't know if this is went flow refreshes the Ip leases??? I still checking on it but putting them static elevates the problem for a while.

been using the E2500 and recently the E900...no VPN problems so far....i just enabled the PPTP passthrough under Security -> VPN Passthrough.

using the standard flow modem as well (non-wireless). Not sure when they renew the leases, u can see the lease times if you log into the Arris modem (password of the day crap i mentioned somewhere in the thread) or just do an ipconfig /all when plugged in directly to the modem.

for xbox live i just threw my Xbox IP in a DMZ

Port 87 - 89 (UDP)
Port 3073 - 3075 (UDP)
Port 3073 to 3075 (TCP)

used to get a lot of disconnections before adding my xbox to the DMZ.

for example, I can see / connect to hosted games (eg. halo) but I get disconnected from the game as soon as the game starts.....if i was successful, i get disconnected automatically at the end of the game.

never really had a lag problem :/ and download speeds are still crappy but varies

xbox and xbox 360 by the way.

are u getting lag with other games?

keep in mind that there are people who still use lag switches to cheat (especially in COD). Microsoft cant find / ban them all. :( keep an eye on the player with full bars (connection) when everyone else has one or two bars.

I use the good old Ipconfig method, password of the day gets annoying with the amount of drops I experience, as for DMZ I've done the same with my 360, ps3 and ps4. It does not solve the lag completely but makes it playable I've had issues with lag across multiple games and platforms seems my 50mb connection ain't cutting it, then again the connection integrity is usually unfortunately terrible even when hardwired and pings are all over the place.

I called them at 7:40 pm . After I explained the issues , she directed me to plug in the line directly into the machine and said monitor the issues with this set up . Is it more stable yes . A friend also called them and they said that they would be replacing the modem .

Not sure where I stand with equipment replacement atm . My current router and for the last few years is a linksys WRT 160N V2 .

i was having similar probs at one point with my linksys. I cloned the pc mac in the router and it helped surprisingly. btw they did replace my modem for me also and re crimped my connectors, but the cloning worked before they did that.

when youtube was really horrid in the past i used: http://www.proxfree.com/

but the VPN's i have used, I never gotten any real bandwidth to talk about i usually got 3mbit down vs 5/10mbit flow offers. I noticed these days at least with download manager I'm getting my full 10mbit however if i download it as a single part (as opposed to a DM that parts the file out and pulls it) it's really slow.

Re: Gaming
I've noted off and on, on xfire that my pings to ESW and other servers that used to be 80-100ms are now 220ms and upwards as well. But i rarely ever game online now. Anyone noticed ping spikes?
