But those common day activities - even diseases with the highest mortality rate locally such as heart disease and diabetes - are not highly contagious.
Covid is highly contagious - that is why vaccination is important.
Not sure what your point is.

Highly contagious and airborne. The only way to 100% prevent yourself from getting it is to shut of all contact with the outside world. For some people they are happy with the vaccine, some other happy with no protection. Its up to everyone what level of risk they are willing to accept.

Ask Bill gates, who invested heavily in this vaccination programme and wants vaccines to be mandatory across the world

Duane do you find this is right , as an unvaxxed person I cannot travel soon even though I have the visa taking all required tests PCR etc, you are limiting my freedom of movement , my right to work , my means to buy and sell, this isn't right.

Why do I have to get a VISA to travel to your country? You are limiting my freedom of movement , my right to work , my means to buy and sell, this isn't right.

Their country their rules, hope Trinidad follows suit soon.

You need your vaccines and immunization card as proof to attend schools.

Covid-19: France suspends 3,000 unvaccinated health workers

Is this protecting the Healthcare system , if we were to do this here in trinidad can you imagine the increased deaths due to less doctors and nurses. People on here bash the regular folk who not willing to vaccinate but these are professionals who blatantly refuse to vaccinate for whatever reason I guess we will call them small minded and judge them based on their personal choice as well.

COVID-19 hospital stays cost 3 times more than a stay for heart attack

September 9, 2021 —

The estimated average cost of a hospital stay for COVID-19 is more than $23,000. This includes both intensive care unit (ICU) and non-ICU admissions. New data from the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) shows that a COVID-19 hospital stay costs about 3 times more than for heart attack ($7,000) or pneumonia ($8,000), 4 times more than the cost of a stay for influenza (approximately $5,000) and almost as much as a kidney transplant ($27,000).

People who have COVID-19 remain in the hospital about twice as long as the average pneumonia patient (15 days and 7 days, respectively), and a larger proportion of them are admitted to the ICU and ventilated.

Estimated costs for COVID-19 hospital stays

The estimated total cost of COVID-19 hospital stays in Canada (excluding Quebec) was almost $1 billion in 2020–2021, tripling between November 2020 and March 2021.

A COVID-19–related hospitalization with ICU admission is estimated to cost over $50,000 — more than 3 times the cost of a stay without ICU admission ($15,000). By comparison, the average cost of an ICU admission for pneumonia is $22,000 and for heart attack is $8,400.

People without comorbidities

Comorbidity refers to the presence of more than one diagnosis occurring in an individual at the same time.
It could be asthma, allergies, age, pregnancy, sickle cell etc.
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nc ... tions.html
None of those are lifestyle diseases.

Perfectly healthy people, even athletes can be hospitalized from their body's reaction to Covid-19.
Different people react differently to viruses.
Most times it's your immune system's over-reaction to the virus that proves deadly - it's called a cytokine storm
https://www.newscientist.com/definition/cytokine-storm/

There are negative effects of long-covid even on athletes
https://www.sbnation.com/nba/2021/3/3/2 ... -asia-durr

Vaccination is shown to greatly reduce that risk as your body's immune system was already trained to handle the coronavirus.

I confused, are US hospitals supposed to be making a profit or saving lives? Last time i checked they are non profit and people are covered by insurance so whats the problem, an unvaxxed has the same rights to a hospital bed as anyone else in need
