Not a depression but it had the chance to become one. Supposed to affect us by Saturday as it beginning to be a little organized.

Look carefully at the center of both disturbances they are both already "above" Trinidad and Tobago. There is no channce of them even coming close!

O rly?. there are signs of organization (rotation) between those disturbances... and it's still moving westerly.

No matter how you slice it we're gonna get some weather by Saturday.

Not saying we will not get weather but it is not going to be from those systems! Therefore it will not be prolonged and not heavy!

Bulletin#1

Date: Saturday 20th of August 2011
ISSUED AT:12:55PM

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSHOWERS TO AFFECT TRINIDAD AND
TOBAGO THIS AFTERNOON INTO TONIGHT

Unstable weather conditions associated with a
combination of localized instability and a
vigorous neighbouring tropical wave in close
proximity to the Eastern Caribbean islands is
expected to affect Trinidad and Tobago during the
course of the afternoon into tonight.

As a result moderate to heavy showers and isolated
thundershowers can be anticipated for the forecast
period. Tobago could experience more of the
showery activity than Trinidad. Rainfall
accumulations of 20-35 millimeters are likely
consequences of the downpours. Street/Flash
flooding along with gusty winds in excess of 40
km/hr can also be expected in the vicinity of
heavy showers/thundershowers.

Citizens are advised to be vigilant and cautious
as they conduct their activities. Be alert to any
electrical discharges from thundercloud activity
and adopt measures which would preserve life and
property.

WE STRONGLY UNDERSCORE THAT TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO IS
NOT UNDER ANY TROPICAL STORM THREAT, WATCH OR
WARNING AT THIS TIME.

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Services
is closely monitoring conditions and will issue
another bulletin if the situation warrants.
