Very true, wtf.
I think Rowley pull a fast one and not even his 1% friends knew this was coming. They probably have full stocks in there freezer that gonna have to sit there for the next month.
Rowley decimated a few sectors today that employ thousands of individuals and right now they may have very well collected their last salary while his salary and perks remain untouched.

after the 2020 general election and the covid spiked, the locked down and changed laws to over correct for calling elections so early and allowing the typical wajang behaviour.
this is just the over correction to follow their members, friends, family and financiers palancing for the easter

if ur measures are so good, how on earth did we get the brazilian variant? nobody coming in was passed through without passing through the covid protocols.
so is either the measures werent good enough, or they had people allowed to supersede the measures. either way, they were incompetent

No you Jackarse. Isn't it more feasible that the brazil variant was introduced via an illegal immigrant? Why do some of you all make everything seem like rocket science? All of our covid problems today stem from illegal immigration.

borders closed, bro. cant come in with an illegal immigrant, not even the original virus did that.
check back the first quarter of this thread, u would see any time concern was raised about illegal immigration carrying covid here, it was soundly refuted by the lefff foot ritttte foot crew as being an asinine scenario.

the govt and its supporters are resolute that there is no such thing as illegal immigrant carried covid

"Borders closed" mean your offiical ports of entry are closed. The unofficial ones are always opened. That is why we got a second wave because of illegal immigrants. Every new illegal immigrant can create a new round of infection.

It's an irrelevant point for the gov't to make because one of the threats of illegal immigration is an introduction of an epidemiological varient that isn't known to the population or authorities. Also, you will never be able to prove illegal immigration as the source so blaming them will just be xenophic. So the official position will never be that.

BUT THEY ARE THE CAUSE OF OUR COVID INFECTIONS.

Perfect timing to encourage further spread. That seems to be the agenda. Month end and lockdown.

Same thing i was saying... brainless dotish PNM govt...wait till frikin month end to done then lock down nah....forcing everybody to ram out now and spread more

it would have been ram out this weekend, waiting would cause more spread

Exactly.

Like when is a good time to cause a lockdown with daily rising cases?

He should have at least recommended they implement work from home or rotation similar to public servants.

Parlours already have to close by 10

after one year we right back to staying at home, making we own fry chicken and doubles and watching every video on youtube. MOH mismanaged the entire covid pandemic in trinidad and tobago and heads should roll. they acted too late each an everyway from late to close the borders from march 2020 as they waited till the infection came in an then to close the airport to allowing the venez to continue to come in an then lie and deny that venez are coming in illegally. heads need to roll and election needs to be called and persons need to be jailed for causing the death of everyone who died from covid 19. all of this could have been avoided if they closed the borders early in march 2020 and secure the coast from illegal entry.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda, but in the end, they didn't.

Plenty ppl not going to study these lock down orders. Because the Toolumhead in Chief done say, when d next lockdown comes, no financial aid for nobody. So hustlers gonna be out there doing their thing as normal. Last time was real pressure for plenty ppl on the lower end of the earnings spectrum, many of whom still didn't really ketch themselves and back to normal up to now. They eh want a repeat.

So the death rate has gone from 1.67 a few weeks ago to 1.60 yesterday to 1.57 as of today.

Then again I know allyuh don't like to use facts and data to inform allyuh decision making.

The idea is to avoid having people in confined spaces with limited air circulation, where possible aerosolized particles from a possibly infected person can remain and linger in the air in that area and infect others. When you outside, those aerosolized particles will be blown away and dispersed with even the slightest movement of air, reducing risk of infection to those standing nearby.

Look at it like if you using 10 cans of spray paint in rapid succession.
Safer to paint outside, because using it indoors without a lot of ventilation by the 2nd or 3rd can there's so much aerosolized paint particles in the air that unless you have on scba gear chances are high that you will be inhaling those particles, no matter how far you are from the actual can of spray paint.

By chance are you using current cases and deaths? because deaths usually lag cases from 1 to 2 weeks. Deaths going to pick up the next 2 weeks watch and see.

It'll be interesting to see if death rates pick up or if it pans out to be just infected people who require quarantine and medical observation like Rowley

Let's hope it's neither.

The main purpose of lock down is to not overwhelm the health sector.

Bed usage has gone up 500% this month.

Is a 3 week lockdown enough?
I have a feeling that it will be extended.
Who can explain mathematically what we will see happening in the coming 3.weeks in terms of positive cases being detected and the death rates?

Many chin maskers this morning. Venes still walking around with masks in their pocket like the law doesn't apply to them. Police driving with their glass up.

And this is just in my neck of the woods.

As they say, what illegals? There's only 16k venes in trinidad and all of them registered.
