Eh....
Nutting to do with oil and gas prices?
If the UNC was running deficits when we had more revenue than ever before....why would they suddenly be able to balance budgets when revenues cut in half?

Where does the 16 B the UNC pull from NGC fits?
That is where we seeing their ground work....Raiding cash.

I see the UNC proposing to take cash from UTC and NIB to fund road works....how allyuh feel that will work....given the nature of those institutions?
How did that model work with NGC?

Leave them alone... they dont understand these maths... any who oppose and try to deconstruct their rhetoric on why unc/pep is a better option than pnm is a paid blogger

Read the play on lower energy prices....but raid NGC of 16B .....crippling it.

Yeah....steups

I just ignoring them now... it not worth my time to argue with people who twist things to suit their narrative... also as a nice add on... debt to gdp between 2010 and 2015 went up by almost 2000 basis points... yet still during that period oil prices was at their historical highest... but anyway what do i know i'm a proclaimed pnm blogger

u ahve to find the money somewhere. if UTC have it, then once they pay off the people balances, then use it. NIB supposed to go bankrupt this year, if i remember correctly. so no money there. but, part of their problem was using their cash to buy a big chunk of the NIF, which culvert invert said was over subscribed.
taking money from the HSF, with nothing being input, and taking from the UTC/nib where u do have ongoing contributions... a difference there.
u have a difference of opinion of where to source that cash from, when ur sources are limited. very debatable.

what is not up for debate, is the useless spending pnm had embarked on when they took office.
so if sourcing the money is debatable, what u doing with the money when u do take it, should also be considered. pnm track record eh so prudent.

Is that a true UNC proposal - To take CASH from UTC and NIB to do projects?

All my money coming out of UTC if UNC wins (ditto if PNM decides to do the same).

They almost bankrupted NGC with that foolishness between 2010 - 2015.

Where Zoom to say we are wrong and lying on the UNC.

cause we like to forget...

https://www.facebook.com/dayne.harford/ ... 4324664773

So PNM have a check list to

Malcolm Jones’ $13 Billion Dollar Petrotrin GTL Loss Written off by the PNM as soon as they assumed office.

Caldar Hart came back to face the Commission of Enquiry, case against him foiled... $725 Million Dollars.

Keith Rowley’s Friend, Nazim Baksh caught red handed in the A&V Drilling Oil and Gas $100M Oil Fraud. ($100 million that we got to know about, Deokiesingh got removed from Petrotrin Board) (No Charges filed by the DPP)

After a Financial Audit, Petrotrin Refinery was targetted and Shut Down and to date the Government continues its march to dissolve all traces of the financial report.

In the Sea-Bridge fiasco, nobody knows who owns Bridgeman Services.

Manzanilla Highway ($400M for 5 Miles) (Still incompleted)

Curepe Interchange (How much was paid for Kaydonna) Kaydonna was owned by the Minister of Works and Transport, Rohan Sinanan; who seem to have pushed particularly for this project. (Corruption)

St. Augustine Nurseries (Demolished to build houses) farm land that was part of PNM campaigning where they gave these farmers surety of Certificates of Comfort, to now, destroying their crops and using Police Force to remove farmers from the said land. (Destroying their crops)

One Alexander Places $23 Million in rent per annum paid to Faris Al Rawi and Family, for a building that is still no use to the Government of the Public.

OWTU offered the chance to purchase Petrotrin; on very shady terms and conditions which offers the purchaser, 10 years no taxes and 1 years to repay the loan, which the Government would hold the mortgage.
Basically funding the refinery by tax payers money, where NO taxes will be collected from profits for 10 years where the refinery has the potential to make $4.5 billion USD per year. (Who is the real purchaser)

Aripo Livestock (Closed by Clarence Rambharat; while he approved loans through ADB for his family and friends to build and maintain chicken farms) WAS THIS SOLD? To whom? For how much? Was it made available to public interest?

Amalgamated Security Contract (Friends and Family of PNM financiers) whom by some odd luck scored the winning tender for the “Comfort Patrol” and “Ankle Bracelet Contract.”

But lets get down to some quick reviews!
1. Newman George - Chairman Paria (Husband of H. Speaker) Delci Rodriquez and Asdrubal Chavez sanction defying Gas Racket.
2. No Proof of Procurement AGAIN for New Ferries (No Details on who was paid or WHY)

13. Prime Minister's Residence Renovation $18M.
14. President's House Renovation $115M. (Terrence Deyalsingh's wife's company)
15. Soca in the Seas wasted.
16. Maxie's Medical Bills.
17. Minister of Works and Transport Rohan Sinanan's Builds bridge using State Resources to connect road to his Land and Box Drains.
18. Airport Service Terminal (No proper contract)
19. Stuart Young's Brother Finance deals with the State, NCB Global Finance went from a small financing company to a whopping $3.8 Billion Dollars.
20. Citizens Abandoned until Public Outcry.
21. Tobago Airport $300 Million.
22. half a BILLION to renovate Red House, fifty one MILLION for doors and windows alone, Deyalsingh's wife's company again featured.

And then there's this:

Paintings $3 Million
Trump Phone Call $16 Million.
Tarouba Stadium 'finishes' $130 Million
50 Ambulances $600 Million (for a private contract?)
Bucco Estate $174 Million (Friends of the PNM)

I'm literally trying to find a logical reason as to why using NIBs cash fund is a reason to celebrate.

Is Kamla raising retirement to at least 65? How are they getting contributions to facilitate this?? The taxpayer and business community hasn't pay more NIS??

Tdad is one of the few countries where retirement is still 60. Barbados is at 68 I think.

Since Mannings podium promise of raising pension to $3000, NIB has been paying the subsidy for those ppl who contributions should have given them about $300 a month..

Employment at an all time low now so no employment no NIS payments and Kamla wants to take it to put it in an Infrastructure Fund?!! Lmaoo and they clap.

This could be the demise of NIS. . Short term And long term.. no sickness, disablement, funeral grant, maternity benefits.. long term, all the sacrifice u work in life and yuh pension at risk... and we know how them old injun does get on bad for dey pension.

Is Kamla trying political suicide or her supporters so illiterate they doh even understand what this means???

This is literally what you worked for in life.

And they clap. 50,000 new jobs and lewwe raid NIB and UNC! !! Barartaria sarria stand up!!!!!

Post the link where UNC said as you wrote.

NGC was never Bankrupt and it is owned by the Citizens of TT.

What we own we are supposed to get returns as Citizens. Good Job from UNC in spending money on Citizens rather that give it away to 1% and the mob as the PNM does daily

Spend and Invest on what you own rather than go to the IMF or Banks to borrow money that citizens have to repay.

Bluefete it is better you take you money out of UTC and buy beers or migrate

Citizens own NIB and NGC and they need to see benifits rather that 1% and the mob taking our money

LOL

Right you have to find the money somewhere.
If that statement doesnt demonstrate the UNC ethos-then nothing does.

Funny how that applies to the UTC and NIB being raided- for....roads and drains...
..but you have an issue with the HSF being used when oil/gas prices and therefore revenues are where they are.
Of course the HSF is designed for that.....but the NIB/UTC are entities that have a very specific purpose and as financial institutions have to be seen as inviolable.

You are frigging joking.

You talking about Petrotrin under the UNC- Oir Oil production per day in '000s BOPD-
2010-145
2011-136
2012-117
2014-114
2015-109

Refinery throughput averaged 122 BOPD- despite the UNC meeting the refinery at 152BOPD

Petrotrin lost money 2013-2015 with 2012 being a small profit....despite having oil prices in the 80-100 range and demand for fuels high locally and internationally....additionally- Salaries were at 1.2B in 2011-and at 1.5B in 2015. Ignoring OT.
Can you explain the UNC acumen that increases wages at a time where the co is losing money and oil production declining
Kevin foresight again?
And you want them to take back the refinery ???
On what basis??

So we have the UNC running deficits in a time of plenty-NGC16B not included, Oil production declining-despite Kevins foresight and Petrotrin losing money in 100+ WTI environment.
And you cool with these people raiding UTC/NIB and killing the Petrotrin deal....smh

wow.

Good research and points Redman... i think the story behind the drop in production was that revisions to the petroleum profits tax act or the supplemental petroleum profits tax act allowed for tax concessions if energy companies engaged in infrastructural upgrades... so many companies took advantage of that adjustment in the tax act... it is also interesting that the revision in the tax act that brenfited the energy companies was enacted between 2010 and 2015... as stated earlier i believe... i may not be 100 percent right here... if i am wrong i do apologize for any misgivings

Got a call from a survey company this morning doing a poll asking how I would vote, how I consider government performance etc. etc.

On gov't performance, I had to ask if they talking about the mamaguy performance in the last month where roads fixing with breakneck speed, water in meh pipe whole day, current representative pass around at least twice in 3 days. LOL.

r they talking about the non-performance between August 2015 - July 10th 2020.

Life in the marginals.

taking money from NIB is dumb, if its an actual policy.

reducing tax from the petro industry, may have reduced their incomes. but that is still more advantageous than having them close up shop and shipping out totally. the rate things happening under PNM, u might not need ear protection to go pt lisas any more.
ah man did say, take ur platform and go. ah next one like he said, take ur process plant and go.

All my money coming out of UTC if UNC wins (ditto if PNM decides to do the same).

They almost bankrupted NGC with that foolishness between 2010 - 2015.

Where Zoom to say we are wrong and lying on the UNC.

1% have been eyeing NIB for the longest while , they just got a bumper from our HSF and citizens got very little in Covid apart form Non existant Tobago Hotels .

Citizens own NIB and NGC and they need to see benifits rather that 1% and the mob taking our money

Lol Fck outta here with that blogger response. Your benefits are what was entitled your after paying NIS for all those years which I 100% u benefit from ... how many years u paid NIS for zoom?

When Kamla take the money..how she putting it back?

U support this zoom? It's ok to disagree with Queen Kamla sometimes.. I won't judge u. Pretend is not yuh dUNCe minions u addressing here.

I have 852 Contributions which is over the 750 contributions need to get NIB pension . I have being working at age 16.

If you have the info where Kams said shes going to use NIB fund, then post and lets see whats involved

Right you have to find the money somewhere.

PNM 2015-2020. treasury dry, but they got it from somewhere...

taking money from NIB is dumb, if its an actual policy.

reducing tax from the petro industry, may have reduced their incomes. but that is still more advantageous than having them close up shop and shipping out totally. the rate things happening under PNM, u might not need ear protection to go pt lisas any more.
ah man did say, take ur platform and go. ah next one like he said, take ur process plant and go.
some money is better than no money.

I want you to watch the video-where she states UTC/NIB as a source of funds-reducing GORTT need to borrow......which means in her mind...they taking the money without recourse or intent to repay.

This is a despotic asinine plan to conceive.....much less to vocalize as a reason to be elected.

Just in case LoopTT is a 1% PNM media house

The National Infrastructure Fund will support strategic investments in public transport, solar, water and wastewater facilities, climate-resilient infrastructure, and green housing. The National Infrastructure Fund will be capitalised using the idle cash balances of State-controlled institutional investors like the National Insurance Board (NIB) and the Unit Trust Corporation (UTC). This will mobilise an initial $4 billion in capital for the National Infrastructure Fund.

i was unaware of the NIB/UTC angle UNC was taking... but this is one of the reasons why i stated a few times before what is giving individuals so much confidence that PEP/UNC is the best choice.... what policies/projects have they discussed that makes u believe that tnt's economic future will be successful under them... I guess no pension is one of them

UTC a state enterprise?

UTC was created by an act of parliament...in 83....

I don’t think it is.a SOE...I don’t think there is a legal way for GORTT to take funds....only borrow via a bond issue.

But KPB said no borrowing.
