Since this turned into a "Best CHEAP Places to eat in T&T" thread, I'll add:

Yifu Garden - St. James - There are some specials at the end of their menu that come with special fried rice. Good Stuff.

Arabic - Arabian Nights - Highland Plaza, Glencoe or the Gyro Cart in St. James most nights, or Lawrence of Arabia - Long Circular Mall. (Can't believe how many people actually like Lawrence of Arabia, Maraval's food :sick:)

Mangoes on the Avenue is good for variety when looking for lunch.

If it hadn't turned into a "cheap" thread I would have asked how come Zanzibar wasn't listed by anyone?

Come to think of it Mongolian Grill, Trincity is very good too.

BTW, I'd never buy food (again) at a place that has as many flies as the Highway Roti Shop place. It's disgusting.

Cosign for Batimamzelle, then again you can make Creole food at home for less. Best Italian: Ill Colosseo in St. Clair. Cozy, romantic and fine dining. :)

"cheap thread" is the way to go
when comparing high price places
quality opinions become clouded by
" money ambience"

Crews inn
Jaffa (Best I've been so far)
Batimanzelle --> Overpriced
Hyatt--> sh!t food
Solimar-> not bad.
Chaud--> great food, exorbitant price.

I love the food at shanghai, reasonably priced as well.

Very true.

I must say though that the best food I have ever had in Trinidad was Jaffa. Service was also excellent, but second only to Hyatt, but Hyatt's food leaves much to be desired
