I'd like to see a run down on those rapid tests available locally. I googled a little and see they have a variety of technologies in use abroad, stuff not available last year. So an update on the local testing situation would be good.

Anyone getting a test should also be aware of the different types of tests and the limitations.

If you are doing a blood draw or finger stick, you're getting an antibody test which will not tell you if you currently have covid.

Almost everyone I see using a face shield does so alone essentially replacing the mask.
In my workplace, in groceries and malls etc.

Also please don’t drive with your face shield. I suspect it hampers peripheral vision. Twice I’ve had drivers wearing them pull on me. Maybe a coincidence but I doubt it.

We been communicating with family that may have been exposed and they being kept in the dark. By weekend we will hear their outcome although I feel they will keep them at work unless things go downhill fast and sprial out of control. It can be contained however but tough luck for them.

know personally many who got tested at govt hospitals and even with a positive taking 5-6 days for a result and for the negatives they not getting any response

Coworker of mines tested positive on the 23rd of March
Was given all clear by the ministry to return to work an stuff on the 19th of April.
They didn't want to re-test when he asked an questioned about it. . He went an did it privately for peace of mind before he goes back into the public. The test came back positive...

now this is important. People not understanding these tests. If the test he got at the private institution was a blood test, it would have been an antibody test, which will show if you had COVID19 in the past few months. It does NOT diagnose active infection. It is 100% expected for an antibody test to remain positive for months after the active infection has been resolved.

Your coworker has a resolved COVID19 infection and is absolutely fine to return to work.

Daz if d guy got an antibody test. I presume the institution would be aware an antibody test would be positive in the case of a recovered patient.
