South Africa buss a 428/5 (DeKock - 100; Mackram 106; Rassie108) in 50 overs against Sri Lanka who are struggling right now at 120/4.

Good thing WI did not qualify.

Pretty high scoring WC thus far. Good for TV except for all the empty stadiums. BCCI really dropped the ball on ticketing

Was wondering when more than one game per day was going to happen.
Today had Eng Bang which is done and SL Pak.

As much as the Chennai pitch for the India match was rated "Average" by the ICC I kinna liked the struggle both sides faced. Not every match you wanna see a 350-400 score

I thought Afg was looking good for at least a 300 score.
Now 260-275 looking hard.

NZ bought Kane Williamson back for today's match against Bangladesh. After his injury in the IPL it was thought he was out till next year.

Now he 30* in a chase of a modest target.

Modern medicine is amazing.

Pak felt sorry for us (WI) and decided to represent. From 155/2 in the 30th to 191 all out.

IOC gonna vote on inclusion of T20 cricket in Los Angeles 2028 Olympics. Means Trinidad could have the opportunity to qualify and play as a national team on the world stage. Too bad most of our T20 stars are already pensioners dribbling on themselves.
Only Nicky P might still be around by then.

There was an article on cricinfo where the ICC would only recognize the top 6 teams in the world to compete in the olympics

Quota system does always hold back SA. Can't afford passengers in the team at this level. I would love to see them win but now they even have a passenger captain.

In other SA teams most notably test wise I would say this but of a best SA white ball XI is any of the non white players truly not deserving a place?
Who stands head and shoulders above and can displace Rabada and Ngidi?
Bavuma in the past year has been one of if not their best ODI batsman.
Maharaj deserves his place and IMO the only player always perplexes me by is continuous selection is Shamsi
