Did PNM Big Boys Setup Anand? - Telephone records exposed

On January 29, new infor­mation came to light after police received a packet containing telephone records detailing text communication from two senior People's Na­tional Movement (PNM) members and another person.
Both members of the PNM hold high office today.
In January, the Sunday Express also received that packet, which included a message dated January 28, 2015, with a PNM heavyweight, now a senior Government member, saying:
“Statement submitted to the DPP (Director of Public Prosecutions). Pursue at DPP end. Explosive. If you squeeze Gary Griffith you on. He mentioned in the statement. He can confirm Anand approach. Says he will not lie.”
It also shows that the senior politicians had inside knowledge of what West's report contained, that Griffith was named in that report and what Griffith, then a member of government, had said in the report.
In another text, one man, who now holds a top Government position, says he was “working” on providing the receiver of the text with West's report that went to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
That senior PNM official also seemed to have inside knowledge of the then government's operations.
“Sources at the ministry of communications said the statement was drafted to remove the AG and the MONS (minister of national security),” one senior PNM member said in a text, dated January 31, 2015, to another person.

Cops wind up Emailgate probe

Police have completed their investigation into “Emailgate” but nothing of substance has come out of it.

It is now up to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to make a pronouncement on the matter.

That's the latest word from acting Police Commissioner Stephen Williams in the controversial probe in which several former government ministers had been accused of being involved in a sinister move to undermine the judiciary, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) and the media.

Williams was speaking on TV6's Beyond the Tape last Friday.

EMAIL EXPOSE... this House confirms its loss of confidence in the Prime Minister and the Government of Trinidad and Tobago.

Once the DPP give the police the ok, the CoP can then call a press conference or speak about it in their weekly media briefings officially closing the case.
