The world of competitive cricket seems to have left us behind.
Our ability to compete with the rest of the playing world is indicative of our falling standings, and sending a team to compete is much like sending lambs to be slaughtered.
The issues we have to deal with are significant and institutional requiring a comprehensive strategic realignment much like any business.
The history of countries such as Australia and India are prime examples.
In some ways our individual players are really casualties of institutional mismanagement and does result in the killing of the 'spirit'.
We certainly have a strong talent pool, but really continue to demonstrate an inability to derive a strong, balanced team able to withstand the rigors of fierce sustained competition.
The same players when recruited by private interests for competition and funded and well managed become international heroes.
Brand West Indies is only respected for its history.

If it was an Aussie commentator, he would never be so diplomatic or a Brit like Geoff Boycott - salt like so.

The sweet sweet English tears over that Bairstow dismissal yesterday continues today. See Piers Morgan is still complaining about it this morning.

Rich in irony is Stuart Broad trying to pontificate on it....the man who hit the ball literally into slip's hand and didn't walk now talking about "spirit of cricket". Broad also was the bowler when the Bairstow ran out De Grandholmme in the similar fashion after an LBW appeal.

Scotland is the new KING of the MINNOWS. WI is the bottom dwellers and I doubt they would even beat OMAN.

The WC ten is complete. Netherlands did enough by beating Scotland in the 43rd over to get 2nd place on NRR.

SL didn't even break a sweat. And it wasn't even their full strength squad.
