1 person has died in a head-on collision involving a pick up and a truck on the Southern Main Road, Caroni.

Several others have been taken to hospital in critical condition.

Police said the pick up, a Toyota Hilux, smashed into the front of a truck transporting a trailer.

some earlier 2006 model hiluxes 4x4 2.5 spec didnt come with airbags. it was optional. easy way to know is if the vehicle has factory flares. no factory flares mean no airbags

Rip but i dont get why most ladies n men who can't even see over d steering wheel does b driving in.the first place. Like they should hav.some height requirement fuh certain vehicles or at least a booster seat. Soo much dangers to consider behind the wheel eh.

Why is that a problem? Do we have laws to enforce airbags? Therefore dealers are not obligated to provide high end safety features. Hell we are one of the few countries where cars carry single stage deployment airbags! In the usa cars are required to have airbags that deploy 70% explosion at first and in a ]split secind after 30% explosion. All cars locally carry 100% explosion. 100% single explosives airbag have a higher mortality rate due to the force of deployment

Looks like I showed up not too long before the accident as things were flowing fine until the final stoplight before the roundabout. Had to make a uturn and go back to the highway.

What look like the probable cause, failure to follow roundabout etiquette?

Lawd. Didn't even know they differentiated like that. Thought it was only by number of airbags. Any easy way to tell which is which?
