I had more fun taking pics than fishing

I took plenty of sunset shots at various settings.... under exposed, over exposed etc just to set myself familar with different conditions... I have a sick HDR image of 3 different exposures, but the file is 20mb :(

The focus area is not much.... Tripod is a recommended, but at 55mm you will be 3-4" from your subject... It's good for coins and other stationary objects, or dead insects
This is my adapter... http://haodascreen.com/reversing.aspx

Nice shots as usual ppl.

Like the sunsets Mishi.

So there's no control over aperture when your lens is reversed?
That would deem it pretty useless to me cos from what I'm seeing on your pics there's little DOf, which makes for great loss of detail when that's what you're trying to actually capture in Macro photography.

Maybe this was somewhat acceptable with older film systems when you'd be able to manually adjust your aperture on the lens, but from I'm seeing it appears top be gimmicky now.

Lens extension tubes FTW!

I was about 3 ft away from the Spider and I was using a Tamron AF70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di LD on Macro setting .

Notorious that is correct.... No electronics on the lens when its reverse and DOF is very little, but for $20 you can't complain..

I was reading somewhere that before you reverse the lens Select the Aperture that you want press the DOF preview button then take off the lens and then reverse it .

Not sure if it works though .
