This country is looking to expand its production of teak for export of an additional agricultural crop.

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley noted that some Caroni acreage has been identified to cultivate the tropical hardwood. Teak wood is water-resistant, pest-resistant, and is resistant to rotting as well.

Dr. Rowley said when teak trees are cut down they can be re-grown from their stumps.

The red government busted the teak business about 30 years ago .

It was grossly mis managed and now they want to pull this scam on tax payers again.

The red government cannot run any businesses they failed in Agricultural all over from Caroni to dumb arse farms.

There is no way that Trinidad can compete with the south Asian countries selling teak.

Maybe on a local and regional scale Trinidad can but not on the world stage.
