Anyone having issues with Google Now? Mine (N5) stopped working a couple of days ago and now says "not eligible in your country" however it works fine on my N7 tab :s

UPDATE-

DO NOT upgrade your Google App ( Formerly Google Search) to 4.1, this will stop it working in our country ( as well as a few others reported). The only exception seems to be if you have a US issued CC attached to your account.

Yes it's out for the GPE.

It'll be out soon enough for International.

Lollipop installed sucessfully on LG G3. So far so good, some new animations and a few changes to the notifications. All in all the look not too different to the stock LG skin on KitKat. Apps and phone performance okay.

NB with respect to the screenshot with comments about the transparent Google widget, apparently white is the default. You can go back into the widget drawer and re select the transparent widget.

if u plan to root (no root needed to install xbmc), first rule is do not turn on/connect to internet until u have blocked the fire tv from updating automatically:

http://www.aftvnews.com/start/

check this video tutorial for the easiest way to install xbmc/kodi:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SCsH86MYl8

this video shows how to link xbmc/kodi to the home screen:

adbfire app: http://www.jocala.com/adbfire.html

latest android xbmc (ARM): http://kodi.tv/download/

llama app: http://www.mediafire.com/download/of21f ... 1.0909.apk

thanks
did you root? what are the benefits of rooting if u dont need it for xbmc
i think once you have that you good forever yes

nah I didn't root since I could have installed xbmc without it. and u can side load apps as usual so didn't really need Google Play either.

Amazon gave away apps for free over Christmas too so I picked up Plex for the hell of it although I had already side loaded the normal android version. But the side loaded apps don't show up on the home screen so it was good that I got it free from Amazon...

had no idea that the Z2 supported QuickCharge 2.0

the hardware supports it (Snapdragon 801) but the current OS does not. I saw that Sony will be adding this feature in Lollipop.....u need to buy the charger though.

Anyone using an app called Videostream on their google chrome cast? Allows you to stream any video file to your chromecast from a PC.

My TV doesn't support DLNA and this actually does a good job. I've even been able to play 1080 mp4s and mkvs using it.

this app was well done i must say:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... g.Tuning3D

a bit laggy but an excellent tool for car enthusiasts to see how their ride will look b4 customizing.

there is even a way to import vehicles and parts I think.

edit: sorry if it posted b4

I think that's built into chrome though, AFAIK. From an android device i use LocalCast. You could send it to any DLNA device including xbox ones and apple tv.

The previous chrome extension you had to actually use chrome to play it in the browser and cast the browser to the tv. This one makes it much easier as you can navigate with an ordinary "open file" window to select the file. Also, I wasn't able to cast all file formats. This one seems to do all and does it really well.
