Really hoping Pooran could be another Gilly in the making

He's not keeping in the match. He actually took a wicket in his one over he bowled.
NZ A piling on the runs btw......322-3 with WI A having been bowled out for 323 in the 1st innings.

New Zealand might also be the next England wrt to a squad of non native New Zealand players.
The A Team squad has South African born Glenn Phillips, Indian Born Ish Sodhi and an English born player as well as Mark Chapman who has played T20s and ODIs for Hong Kong. And when you consider other players - Neil Wagner, Devon Conway, BJ Watling, Colin Munro were all born and grew up in South Africa for parts of their lives and Colin de Grandhomme is Zimbabwean born.

Maybe WI need to do like USA and hire a company to source foreign talent. USA cricket is aggressively seeking out foreign players who can qualify to play for them and help them get ODI status and Corey Anderson already on the list as has been living in Texas. But I mean everybody wants to live in the US but what would make a South African come Trinidad or Jamaica to live for 3 years?

Windies 89/5 already. Looks like an innings defeat in 4 days.

The A Team lose even worse.....by an innings and 143 runs.

Can't even say they could pull someone from that side.

Anyone does watch WI cricket and still be entertained?? I find watching them does be like torture 9 out of 10 games.

Can't believe it was just last year they had the chance to whitewash England in a test series. Maybe it was a flash in the pan. The test team has definitely regressed since Phil Simmons took over as coach.

holder's bowler rotation in addition to those drop catches was awful
I cannot see them even making 250 against nz pacers on that wicket

Like I said, it's torture watching these fellas. Like standard 1 children try to play cricket against form 6 students.

They go probably use the quarantine as a excuse after the whitewash.

And the A side is doing worse, 5/2 chasing 481.

Wait.. Test side collapsing as I write.... Looks like innings defeat inside three days now.

The A team selection very puzzling. Only King, Pooran and Moseley are batsmen. The rest of the team is bowlers or bowling all rounders. The captain Powell batting at #4 and averages 16 in first class cricket.

Don't think WI cricket getting better anytime soon.

Holder have no shame yes. And the most painful thing is when they interview him he would always say sheit like " there are a lot of positive coming out of this game" ...

Actually surprised to have woken up and WI hadn't been bowled out yet.

Let's hope our Trini boy Da Silva can do something tonight.

agreed, I am actually for the two tier system
6 teams per level, lowest two teams after a year or two goes across, best two teams from lower level goes up

Who will fund it? The only time most test nations make money is when India ,England and Australia tour.

WI can't go long playing only Zimbabwe, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka unless some serious coin donating

Imo, dowrich could rock back and Da Silva should take that spot.

Blackwood was very impressive as well...that's all I could really say about this series

The better side won. Even without their world-class batsman and captain NZ still an innings victory better than WI
