Who show TTMS the post?

Please be advised that the Adverse Weather Alert that has been circulating on external platforms this morning was not officially disseminated by the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS).

The TTMS is currently conducting investigations.

We kindly request that you obtain all official weather forecasts and alerts for Trinidad and Tobago from the official TTMS website, mobile application, and authorized social media platforms.

Replacing the erroneously issued Adverse Weather Alert by the TTMS, a Localized Flood Alert has been issued and is now in effect for the country as periods of heavy rainfall are likely across both islands.

MET OFFICE: The outlook for the next three months, November -December-January shows that at the end of January 2024, there will be little to no concern for dryness.

In August 2023, Trinidad received below-normal rainfall amounts whereas Tobago received above-normal rainfall amounts. Below-normal rainfall amounts fell over Trinidad and Tobago during the ensuing months of September to October.

Piarco’s monthly totals for August-September-October rainfall range from 134.4 mm, 88.8 mm, and 116.5 mm respectively, while Crown Point, Tobago's monthly totals for August-September-October rainfall range from 224.9 mm, 96.5 mm and 44.9 mm respectively.

Near-normal rainfall is expected during the month of November, and moderate to heavy rainfall events are expected to occur. Frequent rainfall events are expected to continue in December and January 2024.

People still spell Diwali as Divali? I used to the same thing as well as I grew up spelling it that way but in reality its pronounced by Indian people with their english accents as Divali as they pronounce things with W as if it sounds like a V in english.

NHC doing that since 2010. They changed the definition too of watch and warnings to fit into the policy to allow more prep time for affected areas.
