Been warm for a few nights plus roasting heat during the day, have to keep the fan/ac on high just to survive the heat.I for one cannot wait until rainy season starts since I actually get headaches from the hot
temps we have been getting.

How you get around that headaches? Keep a low profile?

Now getting a sprinkle down in south. Long time rain didn't fully fall. Just little sprinkles here and there

We heading to the warmest months of the year, July and August. The sun is directly overhead, and coupled with plenty cloud cover it feels like a humid pressure cooker.

July/August is also the first peak of the rainy season, then it peaks again in November.

How hot was it today? I came back to the car and met the iottie on the floor. Imagine the plastic adhesive melted and it fell off the windscreen.

Damn that's hot.
An iottie has a kung fu like grip. .. even without pulling the suction cup tab

at least we not as bad as India, 1000 dead so far in this year's heat wave.

There is a lot of atmospheric moisture to our South, just East of Guyana, may affect us by the weekend.

ok so first tropical wave coming in

The first Tropical Wave for the 2015 Wet Season is expected to pass across Trinidad and Tobago tomorrow into Friday according to the Meteorological Service.
Therefore expect rain showers with isolated thundershowers and heavy rainfall as the weekend approaches.
The wet Season rainfall outlook indicates that for June to December large parts of Trinidad are likely to be wetter than usual with north Trinidad likely to be the wettest area. Tobago, south-western Trinidad and isolated parts north-eastern and north-western Trinidad have increased chances for drier than usual conditions.
Be mindful that increased rainfall combined with recent bushfires will encourage faster run-off leading to increased risk of flooding, landslips and landslides.
In addition to the increase of vector borne diseases, the increased rainfall mixed with humid conditions will also encourage development of some agricultural pests, diseases and fungal growth.

Rained for a decent bit in St. Clair this morning.

Welcoming the rain but is a hard trade off for rain traffic when the season in full swing.
