Young has a ‘huge political vulnerability’, says Daly
..
Asked whether he was surprised the PNM had come to his point, Daly said: “Absolutely not.”
He said it was clear when around September last year the internal election and the convention were cancelled that there was a move afoot to arrange a succession that did not involve either the General Council or the party’s membership.
He said Section 76 (1) (a) was being used to avoid the matter of who should be political leader and prime minister going to a vote by the membership of the party and to have the de facto leader chosen by the PNM MPs “nudged in a certain direction by the Prime Minister”.
He said as long as you don’t have all 21 PNM MPs on board with Young as prime minister, one has a “potential problem”.
Keep focusing on Kamla and the UNC henhouse.zoom rader wrote:How to be a leader of PNM
Just use Zammie on senior female MPs
Why you so focused on the UNC? Isn't Tobago the key or whatever? You all should be celebrating Rowley going, why all the beatup? Suddenly it seems like since Rowley gone, the die hards get very paranoid and worried when they should be celebrating a guaranteed victory.zoom rader wrote:The unilateral and unceremonious foisting of Stuart Young on the population by Prime Minister Keith Rowley, sidestepping the membership of the PNM and its General Council, is a slap in the face, not only to PNM supporters, but to EVERY citizen who treasures the role of democracy and meritocracy in our institutions, both public and private.
A Prime Minister’s position is based not only on the trust but the majority support of his Parliamentary colleagues in the House of Representatives.
Clearly Minister Young’s slim victory indicates that neither collective trust nor support of his significantly more experienced colleagues exist.
Additionally questions that will be topmost on every citizen’s mind is how will this OJT prime minister distance himself from the failures of the last nine years of which he was a central player.
Will he continue with the same failed economic policies of more taxation, more borrowing, continued raiding of the HSF and sale of State assets?
Will the neglect of the country’s farmers and agriculture sector continue?
Will he return Trinidad and Tobago to energy self reliance ?
What about all of the Institutions of State that have collapsed in the last nine years, the criminal justice system, healthcare, education. Will he introduce new policies to halt and reverse the rot?
What about our infrastructure, broken and dilapidated. What are the new policies that will be introduced that’s different from those he approved with his colleagues in Cabinet?
The simple answer is that absolutely nothing will change.
The PNM have run out of ideas, if there were any in the first place.
The warring factions will only exacerbate the situation.
The sooner the real Prime Minister calls the election, the quicker the country can start the rebuilding process under a UNC government.

No problem then the average man supposed to feel an ease up , how come that not happening. If things are much better economically, then pay public servants more than 4 percent. Since things are so much betterwing wrote:They probably paid by the PNM.
