Holding wicked boy. he said umpire Gough is much better as an on field umpire than as a 3rd umpire using technology.

Better they loss trying to win that lose trying to defend. England will grow in confidence and come at them harder once they give them that mental victory by only playing defensively. Balance of attack and defence is what is needed. Would want to see wi show development in that skill... especially right now.

Shai Hope is utter shiet in red ball cricket. Man living off the glory of 1 test match. I was so shocked to realize he averages in the low 20s after 30 test matches.

Best to give somebody else a chance now. Josh Da Silva is in the bigger squad and supposedly looked good in the warmups. John Campbell technically is also looking rather suspect at this level. Not sure who can replace him though as WI don't have a surfeit of openers at hand

Not under these conditions.

It is better to play for a draw. WI do not have a Ben Stokes in their team.

A draw will ensure that they keep the Wisden Trophy.

They can still lose here and keep the Wisden.
They would just need to win or draw the next match

Is windies^ play for what in front you atm and not rely on something else. The draw is a good way for this game.
Also, Dowrich could get drop....that whiteboy could get pick

Ent I tell you to expect a pick for Joshua De Silva during the series?

Campbell and Hope are not cutting it.

WI - 198 all out

WI back to playing like their normal selves.

I expect to see some big changes in the batting and bowling for the final test in 3 days time.

One entire day rained out, England's first innings lasted almost two full days and WI still contrived to lose.

Ben Stokes - Personally I dislike him but over the past few years he has shown he is basically attaining GOAT status.

Before this series there was much debate on who is the better all-rounder between him and Holder with a lot of Cricinfo writers saying its Holder, who just b/c he playing for WI is under appreciated.

Not much to argue at this point based on performances.

Idk what makes Holder this "big" allrounder nuh.....Stokes has some doing before he attains GOAT status imo

ICC made him the big man. He's #1 on the Test all rounders list

So this great West Indian team who won the first test couldn’t bat a day to save a draw?

Think those guys were just exhausted mentally and physically after those two days in the field. They should consider rotating bowlers especially.

They got basically an entire days worth of rest as Day three was washed out, intersecting England's two day marathon session and WI 1st innings.

And at this level in a series this short that excuse seems a bit of a cop out.

Whoever chose that WI side for the 3rd test should be punished. Dotish just dotish.

Gabriel is not fit but playing.
Cornwall brought in but ineffective.
Shane Dowrich not looking like a wicketkeeper at all given the number of balls he has dropped. He seems to have totally lost his confidence.

England 252/4 after being 122/4.

SMDH.

Can't believe they refused to drop Hope. He is so out of touch it not funny. Da Silva could have gotten a game

Joshua DeSilva made totals of 133 N.O and 56 N.O. (average 94.5) in the 2nd practice and still was not selected as one of the 13.

He has very good experience in English conditions as well.

I expect him to make his test debut by the end of the series.

He was not picked for the test match and I don't know how, but I see Joshua DeSilva is keeping wicket for the WI in England's 2nd innings.

Dowrich gave away about 10 byes in the first innings.

Okay, it seems that Dowrich has a cut on his face.

EDIT:

From CricInfo:

"Another short ball, outside off, and this time it's wide enough for Burns to leave alone safely. Dowrich, however, struggles with some late swing as the ball approaches him, and the ball smashes into his left cheek. He's trudging off the field now. He's had a really difficult Test behind the stumps, and this one wobbles as it reaches him, hits the top of his glove, and smacks him in the face"
