U could squat 315 parallel ( meaning NOT half or quarter squat) but could only do 225 ass to the grass?

Won't even bother to comment on the "cud double dem figures if I decide to work knees"

U sir, hav no sense of sarcasm wrt knee popppers. Post yuh figures na, tho figures dont mean squat.. how u lift as opposed to hommuch.
Anyhoo, i dont use wraps so i rather be safe dan sorry. Hav them tho but find it a task to wrap em. I hav no spotter so i dus fraid na.... Nex ting i load up 275 n atg....and end up like a sitting duck til somebody relieve me...#embarrassments

My squat form is not perfect, partly due to me squatting on the bench press station (no squat rack), but I did 285x7 on Friday. I use the bench to stop/spot me at parallel, but I go as low as I can on front squats.

silent_riot, not referring to box squats like what you are doing (somewhat), i see box squats as an accessory, im talking about bare parallel barbell squats, not smith machine assisted either.

Last time I did those was 245x10. (I just walk off the bench).
Smith machine squats are a waste. I actually think it's counterproductive. Smith machine front squats are not as bad, but still not as good as the real thing imo.

Disagree on smith mach squats being a waste...can help break a plateau..

Free parallell squat...225...6 reps...i'm 125lbs..

Riot,

I had body-builders used the smith machine 6-8 weeks before shows and it gave the require results at that time, therefore it is useful not a waste of time....Machines and free weights are both good, based on the areas in the body that need specific attention...

Bf 10% should be 6% in 3-4 weeks

Free parallel squats 330lbs.......10 reps......doing 441lbs next two weeks for 6-8 reps

Weight 206lbs.....

I usually do 10 sets. First 3 sets are of 15 reps. The rest usually vary from 10-12reps. I start with a 45&25lb plate on each side. Increasing up to 3×45lb plates each side.

I prefer hack squats tho. Much more safe imo.

I usually start with the bar, then 135, 185, 225, 245, then move up to a new weight (last week was 285, Friday I'm going to try 295), then back down to 225 for 10. I also do deadlifts/leg exts on mondays and front squats/leg curls on wednesdays. Starting to skip between sets as well on non leg days.
I do have the flu, so I may need to rest up this week.
