This is way late but in the event it helps anyone it will be worth it.
Bear in mind, Carsearch uses RF technology, and can pinpoint your car inside a container if need be or inside a warehouse or other building. With GPS, the vehicle is invisible if the system can't "see" a satellite. Therefore, inside a closed building, GPS may not work, nor inside a container. I have Carsearch with a panic button which I pay extra for, in the event I am held up at gunpoint. Its very discrete and will trigger a silent alarm for Carsearch. I never worry about my car being stolen as a result. With the extra option, it costs approximately $1600 a year. To me, that's a small price for peace of mind.

Colleague's vehicle was stolen earlier this year. It was equipped with Car Search; however they did not help him. He had to track it himself with the help of TTPS.

Err that sounding real suspect , you sure it’s not just a straight up gps company and he fooling you guys into believing that he had more expensive Carsearch. Their minimum service is where you have to alert them to retrieve the vehicle versus that automatic service that detects the car has been hot wired .

I read about a similar story on fb about someone who had carsearch installed, and yet the vehicle was never recovered. I know carsearch is good, but I doubt it is as bullet proof as people are making it out to be. I mean these car thieves are professionals, who are aware of the technology available in the country, so they more than likely to find workarounds.

Clearly nothing has changed with Car Search and their incompetence from 10 years ago.
