Anelka, 33, is being viewed as a temporarily solution for Juve until summer signing Fernando Llorente arrives from Athletic Bilbao and the club is willing to offer the Frenchman a six-month deal with an option to extend the deal, Goal.com has reported.

AC Milan to increase Balotelli offer.

AC Milan is set to make an improved offer for Mario Balotelli after a 17 million pound bid was turned down by Manchester City. The Italian club is also willing to include Kevin-Prince Boateng in the deal. Juventus has also entered the race with AC Milan to sign Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli.

Mario Balotelli is set to join AC Milan on a four-and-a-half year deal. Balotelli, 22, will move to the San Siro on Wednesday after completing a medical, but nothing has been formally signed yet according to City sources and despite a tweet from Milan director Umberto Gandini.

Mancini said.

"But it is important for Mario - to be back in Italy, back with his family and to play for Milan."

When asked if he will miss Balotelli, Mancini said: "Yes. I think that he will miss me and all the journalists. For you [journalists], he was very important."

Swansea's Michael Vorm is rumored to be taking a major step up moving from Swansea to Barca. Vorm, 29, joined Swansea from Utrecht in 2011 and has made nine appearances for the Dutch national team.

Barcelona have also been linked with Manchester United keeper David De Gea and Liverpool's Pepe Reina since current No. 1 Victor Valdes announced he will not extend his contract beyond 2014.

Barcelona midfielder Isaac Cuenca has joined Dutch side Ajax Amsterdam on a five-month loan deal in an attempt to regain fitness for next season.

Stoke City have completed the signing of England international goalkeeper Jack Butland from Birmingham City.

Arsenal have confirmed the signing of left-back Nacho Monreal from Malaga for an undisclosed fee.

Shakhtar Donetsk boss Mircea Lucescu has confirmed midfielder Willian has left the club, with the Brazilian likely to join Anzhi Makachkala immediately.

Willian, 24, was strongly targeted by Premier League clubs Tottenham and Chelsea, but it seems a deadline day swoop from the big spending Russian side has triggered Shakhtar's hefty release clause.

Reports suggest Anzhi offered £35 million for Willian, making it the most lucrative deal of the January transfer window.

Could it really happen? Could Real Madrid really sell Cristiano Ronaldo?

According to El Pais, the answer is 'yes' with Madrid considering the option of selling the Portuguese superstar after contract negotiations with the 28-year-old recently broke down.

Los Blancos were reportedly prepared to offer Ronaldo a bumper new deal, worth a staggering €15 million and one that would bind him to the club through to the end of his career.

But with negotiations at a standstill, and the former Manchester United player's contract due to expire in 2015, Madrid officials may take the risk of cashing in on one of their most valuable players.

The question is: who could afford to buy him?

Former team-mate Luka Modric could be used as leverage for Gareth Bale to move to Real Madrid.

Gareth Bale could become the most in-demand footballer this summer and Real Madrid have moved to the front of the queue for his signature, the Daily Star reports. Tottenham will be prepared to field a number of significant offers for the Welshman, who has been one of the Premier League's standout players this season, but Real are on the front foot as they consider the possibility of losing Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United. Bale would be a contingency plan for the Liga giants and it is believed they have made an early offer of £30 million AND former Spurs midfielder Luka Modric to attract the flying winger. The news won't be very comforting for Modric - who is being used as bait after a disappointing start to his career at the Bernabeu - or Spurs fans, but Real appears to be one of the few clubs that could prise Bale away from White Hart Lane.

Inter Milan have reached an agreement to sign Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Sanchez, 24, signed with Barcelona from Udinese in 2011 for a reported €37.5 million. The Chilean winger has scored two league goals this season in 19 appearances (10 starts) and is thought to be unhappy with playing time.

Sanchez is reportedly prepared to take a pay cut to join Inter.

Bayer Leverkusen’s Andre Schurrle has agreed personal terms with Chelsea, with the Blues ready to spend €22 million to bring the attacking midfielder to Stamford Bridge, Die Welt has reported.

The paper said Schurrle, 22, could sign a contract until 2018. Leverkusen officials will travel to London on Friday to negotiate the details of a deal which, with the player’s wages included, could be worth around €50 million.
