What does anyone know about the Youth Apprenticeship Programme in Agriculture (YAPA). I am thinking about doing it. I'm seeing opportunities in the Agri Sector. Also some research suggests that this program is over 10 years old, why am I only now hearing about it? If we want the agri sector to grow, why aren't young ppl being told abt these programs so that they can benefit?

programs are offered via the food production ministry. However, the necessary resources are not being pumped into ideas which can encourage young people to be interested in agriculture.

the AGRICULTURE NOW program was a decent program(not sure if still available) but again politics spoil it.

I agree, good thing PNM got rid of Caroni and put nothing in place.

Bas was sharpening the blade, Patos just dealt the blow, Caroni should have been diversified and mechanized though. Unc had enough opportunity to revitalize Caroni lands eh, instead they repurposed them and took them away from Agriculture

It does not matter which party forms the government.....agriculture in Trinidad and Tobago will never get the attention it deserves.
