you can get 18650's cheap on ebay
you can also salvage them from old laptop batteries,
you will get at least 10-12 from a laptop battery

a house cellphone charger should be able to charge a single cell.

Rudman wrote:^Yea but AAA/AA is readily avaliable if you in a pinch. Them exotic batteries does leave you in the dark if you don't have stocks, and they expensive.

I see eagle tac have a really good 18650 protected cell. You should really check it out:

Got this little guy .Actually a torch for my A.T.B. It`s called the X-power 300 (300 lumens). Used to have a 500 but lost it. They are charged by USB . Actually quite bright but only lasts a little over 2hrs on full beam.

@ Rollingstock, 4sevens make good stuff. Unfortunately I damaged the head in my Quark QT2A-X. Cannot locate a replacement head.

So looking to get either a EagleTac D25LC2, Fenix PD32 Ultimate Edition or Nitecore MT26. They cost a little bit more than a new QT2A-X, but much brighter and use 18650's

Part of the new transformation, all police will be properly equipped. Glad I got to be a part of the decision making team for procurement.
