Lakers are looking vulnerable so i'd have to give it to Cavs. Unless some strange match-ups throw off Cavs, there is no team that could run ball with them.

the Celtics team this post season without KG was like Lakers without Kobe or Cavs without Lebron, didn't expect much from them. If a healthy KG was there, i'd have to think they would have been in the conference finals at least if not the finals again.

Orlando FTW!! I thought Cavs would have won if they met Lakers but seeing how easily Orlando dispatched Cavs; i'd have to give it to them. Lakers too inconsistent with Gasol and Odom sleep walking on the court at times.

^^  seriously tho, Kobe is the greatest and worse asset for the Lakers. Numbers don't lie, usually when Kobe has a big game, they struggle to win. Definitely no Jordan; Kobe has talent no doubt, but he just can't seem to inspire the Lakers when it matters.

Orlando will win the finals  just saying that seems strange but clearly they are playing as a team and morale real high. Look for many mismatches on both offense and defense in favour of Orlando.

It wasn't even close...Kobe had them on the ropes...with 40...No way to contain him.

Lakers beat them by 25.

I suspect sweep. It looked like men playing boys...I going in my bed. *yawn*

[24]In Kobe We Trust[/24]

Oh and by the way...24>23 simple math

Orlando will be more aggressive on Sunday, look for tighter defense, they won't allow Kobe to score 40ppg in this series.

In other news, Lebron was fined 25k USD as disciplinary action for walking out of the area after their Eastern conference finals series loss against Orlando, ignoring press conferences and other obligations. Lebron is also expected to make a public apology to the fans, team mates and press.

If he doh have a title at the end of next season and the team doesn't move to acquire better support, expect him to leave the team as his contract will be up at the end of the 2010 season.

^^And go where?? New York to "rebuild"?

Kobe will be marked much tighter in game 2.

And once the Magic players shoot a better percentage, it will be a different story.

But i think is Lakers ring still....

Orlando played smart ball on Kobe to contain him after a blistering first half to keep the Lakers in the game. Orlando shot almost 76% at the half  NBA finals record, but still only led by a few points at half time thanks to Kobe. Second half Orlando switched defenders frequently on Kobe which slowed his scoring rate and allowing him only 31pts from 25shots in what could have been a 40+ point game for him.

Game 4 should be interesting...

^^Yup exactly. Let's see what Phil,Kobe and the rest of them have.

Because losing all 3 in Orlando is NOT far-fetched eh !!!

well de game was close despite Orlando's epic shooting percentage at the half. I still doh think they hit their stride, but maybe i giving them too much credit. The only think i know for certain is that Kobe can and will never live up to the real number 23!

He just cannot seem to rally his team and make them better, he can have a big night and still fail. He was making some sick shots tho, like the inbound pass, then screen setup for a successful 3pointer while getting fouled :o

^^Why should he try to live up to #23?? That's where people get tied up.

He is trying to be Kobe!!

So for the next 200 years nobody gets any credit cause of MJ?? better we just ban basketball then.

blasphemy MJ was always great :D

You self, why you think Kobe is always compared to MJ, its because he like everyone idolizes him. The difference is that as a top NBA player, we can see the subtleties in Kobe's game, all of which MJ had.

Everyone will be compared to MJ because he epitomizes what the NBA stands for.

^^Nope. MJ was always ba great scorer. Along the way he had to learn the other intangibles.

Of c ourse Kobe does, who in their right mind wouldn't? I always say MJ photo should be in the Encyclopedia when it comes to basketball.

Yes you can see the similarities. And that's one of the main reasons I started to watch Kobe in the first. Still getting to see a little MJ......somehow  There is no better person for Kobe to emulate. Talk done. Same height, body structure, strength, drive.

To each his own..
