Ben Stokes totally redeemed himself.

An absolutely amazing Ashes Test match between England and Australia. I could not move from the couch. Good thing I cooked early this morning.

Meanwhile, in Antigua, India versus the West Indies ... nothing to talk about from a WI perspective. They are playing like the losers they are. No effort to take wickets or try something different.

It seems that whenever WI goes out to field, with a plan, and it does not work, they lack the brains to innovate or modify the plan, on filed..

I wonder if dey making fiddy de way dey batting?

Waste of flicking time.

It is more than time to drop Darren Bravo. He has some mental problems that seem unfixable at this time.

And Darren Ganga's voice is NOT made for cricket commentary.

I hope WI players sit and watch back that Ashes match and learn how to play.
England were 286/9 and needed 67 runs to win .... and made it !!!
Not only that, of the 67 runs needed Ben Stokes scores 65 and Englands no. 11(leach) scored just 1. They fight till the end.

^ NZ also won this morning by an innings. This is a match that only got 60 overs of play on Days 1 and 2 because of Rain. Commentators were certain the game would be a draw.

NO certainties in cricket, I was sure Australia would win this match after England's first innings...

WI India 2nd test on now.

India batting first are 36-1

And oh I see they gave the morbidly obese Cornwall a debut.

I don't care how talented you are, fitness is too integral an aspect of professional sports for him to still be that way. He has been in the WI setup with youth, regional and A Teams for too long for him to still be that size.

It was interesting to see Tony Gray on TV this morning highlighting that Kohli's fitness regimen that he insists on for the squad is one of the defining characteristics of this Indian team. He went to say that the Indians train with power lifting etc. That's probably why they ranked 1st in Tests and 2nd in ODIs while WI are 8th and 9th respectively.

I don't disagree but Cornwall has talent, I'd love to see him step it up now.

The WI batsmen are not test material.

Bravo should NOT be playing. He has some serious issues that are not being dealt with.

The coaching staff have to go as well, If that is how the WI are performing under them. There should have been a plan to counter Bumrah's bowling by now. As I have said so many times:

BRAINLESS CRICKET!

Good thing Shakes not around at this time.
