What ever happen to the Bharath chap that Lara himself touted and took on a trip to England ?

This exposure is what they all need...minus Gayle...all ah dem need that
Especially the younger bravo who got the title " the next Lara " too soon and had not lived up to the rep at all. County will only improve their allround game.

He truly was a very talented batsman.
I believe he still is....just needs to get into the right environment and around the people that can help him get to the next level of his game.

My $$ on India...England will give them a good run....Ind should not take NZ for granted...Im hoping they choose the correct 11...Imo Jadeja should play in front Kuldeep and Shankar in front karthik...both can bat and bowl and they bring a lot of variation

But I agree Jadu should have been in that squad long time now. He's one of their best fielders and a x factor with bat and ball.

And the rains have come :-(

May the best team win btw!!!

Jadeja was giving that ball some serious rip within the first 20 overs this morning.
It didn't affect their eventual 1st place in the group stages but I think India missed a trick by omitting him from their first 8 matches.

probably yea, but I think they cutting it close by not playing the 6th bowling option...Hardik struggled a bit, I would have played Jadav instead of Karthik...I'm hearing the commentator saying there could be the possibility of 2 hours being added on..

They can go to 8pm which is two hours past the cut off time. However if the umpires think a result can happen they can also add a further hour as well carrying a possible closing of 9pm

Play suspended for the day due to rain, resumption tomorrow morning.

Perhaps it's for the best, if it came down to D/L India woulda probably make that 140 (off 20 overs) in no time flat...:|

India 70/4 @ 20, target 240. They should still make that.

Big time....the approach taken in the last 10 overs is very questionable...they had a lot of wickets in hand and they didnt go after those runs and all the batsmen are capable...they can't top the table if the aussies win the other game...so if this is a strategy to possibly play NZ in the semis, I hope it doesnt bite them

Yea it definitely seems so, England needed this to keep the semi final chances alive and India conviniently lost without really trying in the end. Seems very plausible that they threw this game for the hosts

Agreed 100% with all that's been said. See man salivating at the prospect of some big hitting toward the end there and them fellas take their foot off the gas.

Karma should fork dem up when it matters, unless the outcome of this thing has already been decided...:|
