Flooding in Port of Spain has subsided
Thu, 2012-08-23 12:58 | kmaurice
The Port of Spain City Corporation has indicated that flood waters have subsided and it is safe to enter the city. Flood waters in Barataria have also receded and the East Dry River is now considerably lower. Clean up efforts are ongoing and tree cutting teams are out assisting.
The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management would like to thank citizens for their continued cooperation and urges citizens to remain cautious and monitor media networks for weather bulletins from the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service for the most current weather conditions.
Remember that affected persons can contact our Emergency Contact Centre at 511 to make a report.

If your passage way/street/yard out of your home is blocked and a clean up session has to take place, what do you expect?
The travelling public could not have even come out of City gate and make their way around POS.

I heard they could, just walk across by the lighthouse side and cross. A coworker of mine did that and made her way to work.
Say the correct thing:
The general public just to fcuking lazy to come to work, any excuse they get they will take to avoid coming to work.
And come tomorrow all of them going to take leave of absence under exceptional circumstances or whatever they call it.
