A Cattle Egret (Bubulcus Ibis) catches a Frog for Breakfast


The Cattle Egret feeds on a wide range of prey, particularly insects, especially grasshoppers, crickets, flies (adults and maggots), and moths, as well as spiders, frogs, and earthworms.

In a rare instance they have been observed foraging along the branches of a banyan tree for ripe figs.

The species is usually found with cattle and other large grazing and browsing animals, and catches small creatures disturbed by the mammals.

Studies have shown that cattle egret foraging success is much higher when foraging near a large animal than when feeding singly.

When foraging with cattle, it has been shown to be 3.6 times more successful in capturing prey than when foraging alone.

For this round each fighter will receive a participation prize of $1,000.00

The Talparo and Longdenville Gayelles now prepare to face off for the third place $12,000.00 prize




The third place fight has been cut short as the Talparo fighter fell twice and Sustained damage ti his left leg


Longdenville Gayelle has taken the 3rd place title after the "Jumbie" following the Talparo fighter
Succeeded in taking him down. While he left the ring kicking and screaming, Longdenville left smiling and victorious.

Selwyn John and Keagan Taylor will now face off for the title and grand prize.




With one strike Selwyn John of Rio Claro is now the 2015 King of the Rock!



Rio Claro has taken all the top prizes tonight and brought fierce competition.
Bois all round tonight.
Some walked out, some were carried out but overall the 2015 Stick Fighting Finals
Was an overall nail biting and thrilling experience!
