haven't you people ever heard the saying " if you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all " I am just trying to find my dog, it may be funny to some of you but its important to me. if you believe there's a god and that he made you and me, didn't he make the dog? DOG - GOD co-incidence?

if you believe in god, and you follow your own logic, consider he also made starving children in africa, infectious diseases and justin bieber........either way, I think he doesn't really care
If I wer you, I'd be more interested in the person who could tell you who stole the dog and where it was taken..........how did the person know the old man took the dog to princes town???

Certainly your tentative LOSS will be greater than mine. Don't you agree? (Hypothetically)

So what? If you are right, then that would be HIS loss, not yours... so why are you getting so worked up about it? Why the need for all the aggression and sneering?
What aggression and sneering? I am stating the view of MY RELIGION, ISLAM. And I can prove that it comes from the revealed texts (napkin) of my religion as well. Something that you have not been able to do (prove that your views are backed up by evidence from your similar sources).

Hypothetically, you could be right... but so could he. Neither of you can prove what happens after we die. The only difference between you is that your view is supported by yards of writings put together by a group of holy fogeys, and much of that writing is supposition held together by contradictions - and the same thing is true for ALL religions that use scripture.
I am not going into the multiple contradictions that the Koran contains for the following reasons:
You will get an excuse to be sidetracked from the issue at hand;
There are multiple sites on the internet that explain such things in detail;
Conspiracy theories again without sufficient bite! I'm afraid that you judge Islam and its sources of knowledge based on what you know of the standards of the Bible which are apparently weak.

It can be seen as an "insult" to Islam, and insulting religions is NOT what I am about (perhaps when a more mature Muslim enters the discussion);
Really!!

With the former point in mind, my last reason is I have too much respect for sMASH - and your earlier put-down of him and his views of your supposedly common religion has clearly been negated by all the hate and ignorance that you have spewed since then.

People make mistakes and need to be corrected. If I had done that to sMASH, then I am sure I would have quoted my evidence and that he would have appreciated that because he knows full well that's how we roll (for want of a better word but most appropriate so that you would understand) in Islam.

If you wish to concern yourself about bringing people to God, then you are going about it the WRONG WAY. You don't know the saying: "Molasses attracts more flies than vinegar"?
The enticements to the Hellfire is like the molasses and the hardships/trials to Paradise is like the vinegar.
God can only judge a man based on what he knows and believes, and what choices he made based on those beliefs. Can God judge a man wrongly?
TRUE (the first part) but if the man chooses evil and disobedience even though he knows the truth and what GOD wants him to do, then are you saying that GOD will not punish him or that based on that the man will still be rewarded as if he did good deeds. CERTAINLY NOT!!

If a pastor preaches the truth, but he hurts people, lies, cheats, steals, gambles, screws little children... would you SERIOUSLY believe his "truth" is real?
You come here, sneer at what is said by others, spew insults and hate - the only person who supports you is a mindless fanatic who clearly doesn't possess original thought - and YOU REALLY THINK FOLKS WILL BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE THE MESSAGE OF PEACE????

I will say this, WE CLEARLY HAVE DIFFERING TERMS OF REFERENCE.

HOWEVER, YOU "ASSUME" THAT YOUR VIEW OR METHODOLOGY IS CORRECT WHEN YOU HAVE NO BASIS FOR SUCH EXCEPT WHAT SEEMS TO BE LOGICAL TO YOU!!

Contemplate the following:

Qur'aan 2:6-7 "Verily, those who disbelieve, it is the same to them whether you warn them or do not warn them, they will not believe.
Allah has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing (ie. they are closed from accepting Allah's Guidance), and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be a great torment."

Qur'aan Ch2:171 "And the example of those who disbelieve is as that of him who shouts to those (flock of sheep) that hears nothing but calls and cries. (They are) deaf, dumb and blind. So they do not understand."

well you can imagine if god spoke German we would be calling the canine "ttog" or as in French, "ueid."

Your reasoning faculty will make you a lot of money... if you're pretty. Are you related to thermaltake by any chance?

Isn't that God at work right there for you, Susan?

At least you have a clue.

Think of how many people lost their dogs (think MG Man) and did not have a clue.

At the same time, why are you doubting / questioning God's existence. You make God's existence conditional on finding your dog. Where is your faith?

If God wills, you will get back your dog. If not, consider it part of the giving up process in life that we all must go through at some time.

Haven't visited this thread in two weeks.

How many times have bluefete, megadoc and AdamB said "It's only a theory" since last time I was here?

Even more than the arrival of AdamB?? He did boost the ratings for this ched and increase contributions from all around. The quality was a bit off though.

So... Susan... What religion are you?

Can't be Islam, as they despise dogs
Can't be Hindu, as we believe in Karma and Dharma, and what is to be will be,
Can't be Christian... as you are saying that JC died for nothing, and you will beileve in god because of a dog, not because of the great stuff that JC supposedly did.

Happy for you Susan!!

Now look for the WISDOM from this whole episode.

Hoping and placing your trust and reliance upon GOD are forms of WORSHIP. GOD loves you more than you love your dog.

So when you have attained what you desire, then THANK HIM, seek HIM out, be obedient to HIM and do not be disobedient.

Ironically, HE may be seeing you like you saw your dog, LOST AND IN NEED OF ITS OWNER'S LOVE,AFFECTION AND COMPANIONSHIP.

I just hope that you all would have heard / read / learnt something about ISLAM.

Forget, the messenger (who's AdamB?) and study the MESSAGE.

If it turns out that I am right, then I would have aided in the EVIDENCE BEING ESTABLISHED AGAINST YOU.

You have a will and GOD has a WILL. If you will to follow GOD, GOD will WILL that it be so.
