srs thing though, yuh rocking a case on it oar? I swear if I had one of those, the most I'd do is use a skin. A trainee has the M7 in work and has one ugly TPU case on it... Swear if I didn't see the two speaker grilles in front I wouldn't know it was the M7.

it comes with a very thin skin out of the box..i didn't have a case on the m7 but this one is nice

nah, no OIS on the M8

You the semi gloss silver one ent? I hear that scratches easy. U didn't have that issue with the m7?

my m8 ^ (taken with iphone :| )

had no issues with the m7 scratching..the only thing that came off of it was the 'beats' symbol rubbed off and there were some minor scratches on the camera lens..not bad considering it was out of the case for over a year and i toss it around pretty often

Boy. I coming to steal it.

I dunno if there is this available for the m8 but I saw it for the nexus 5, there is a lens protector for it. What you can also do it put a ring around it like what comes with those attachment lenses to protect the camera lens.

btw, something you might either love or hate is this new motion gesture thing..you can wake the phone up and launch into certain apps by swiping the screen and rotating the device while it is in sleep mode

handy but annoying if you wear close fitting pants :|

please don't tell me you got the dot case also.

Update on the s2 flashing.... Apparently, the efs or the patched nv_data file doesn't work on kitkat... Sigh... Phone relocked to Digicel. I am using this app now.

smart me didn't plug it into the wall charger before executing and it's only 40% complete.

plus it might make the phone feel a bit better in hand....what u guys think?

saw some nice skins for the M8 as well as u guys on the HTC topic:

Skins are the best thing, unless you play cricket with your phone.i always start with a couple cases and then end up parking them up

Actually you don't need cases if you get a Sony phone , I had a Sony xperia s and that phone was a glorious cork ball, I made 43 runs off of that phone, very sturdy and great for skying because you could see it in the air properly. And in the end not much damage was done to the phone at all

looks ok... my issue with android is that it tends to overcompress images... this is actually a known flaw that has been documented.. so the camera is good, but all the quality is taken out of the final image by the overuse of jpeg compression

That's the same brand I use. I fully recommend them. If it falls the skin takes the damage assuming you ain't land on your edge. I recently ordered a glass screen protector also. Nillkin IIRC so that the front glass is protected also.

Got my moto G today. Must say it's nicer than the S2. I don't know why but the battery life hasn't been good so far. Have to do a full charge to really see what's going on.

Pete as with all android devices. Probably any device you'd have to give it a week at least to notice real battery life performance. The first 24-48hrs the system does a lot of background preps.

It's on digicel. Data working fine. It came up with the settings to install as I powered up the phone with the sim card installed.

sounds similar..this is with light power saving features enabled (brightness and wifi mostly turned off). the only thing so far that i've noticed that seems to really drain the battery is use as a wifi hotspot
