^^^ fellas, a bit off topic, but what kind of fish is this featured in this sumptuous meal ? It's often grilled and bar be qued etc. I've boiled it down to either marling or something else.

A net maybe lol. I catch them with bread by a friend's pond but I know people usually catch wild tilapia with either nets or by hand. Naturally, they're an algae feeder.

Went Sea Lots fish market this morning to buy fish. There was only bait, jashua. No fish in the market except for a couple sharks. Nobody is fishing because the water is bad these days.

Not ten days ago I was in the market and dolphin was giving away at $16 per lb.

A crew i know spent the night DDI, they usually catch walliack to sell. They spent the whole night and caught 7 lbs of fish.

ok i tried the mazan area but didnt have much luck cause I couldn't find the area, and I missed the tide. Next week i might make another try, I got lures too so i might try the toco area. BTW this is the third time i bought frozen whole shrimp from trifish and they were totally pink which means they were too long in heat before refrigeration. Does this affect the bait or should i just face the market?

The 105 roosta casts pretty good @ 1 0z but high wind really hampers it compared to the metals. The best plug i get good distance with is the sp minnow.

There's only one member of the erynthrinids we have that belongs to the Hoplias genus which is H. malabaricus
The other family members that are local are
Hoplerythrinus unitaeniatus and Hoplerythrinus cinereus

Bigger shrimp works better. Harder for small fish to pick it off. Bought some large shrimp at $35 a lb and fished off d rocks by guapo beach and caught sum big racando. Just set out a running line and wait for the fish to take.
