They want equality for somethings but apparently not for all.

How come the sign didn't also mention Chinese parents, Syrian parents, the old pedigree European slave plantation owners "local white" parents...
Why he didn't call out Jews who usually preserve their culture through marriage within their own culture, so much that they're recognized as an ethnicity? The Westmoorings Syrians also keep their marriage bloodlines within their own culture.
And he fails to see that the sign itself is racist toward another race, one particular race alone in Trinidad. He could have made the sign worded differently to reflect all the issues with all these races, but only called out one set of people? All groups of people on earth have been tribal at one point and have traditionally preserved their ethnic bloodlines through marriage, an attitude that has been disappearing in world general populations in the last 50 years or so with more education and correct application of human rights and ethics.
So much for that all that Costaatt and UWI gender studies higher level education.

You shouldn't be so disrespectful and dismissive. Everybody in Trinidad has experienced racism at some point in time. It is not institutionalized racism like in the US or UK. But there is a part of the population that racist to the core and will casually drop n- this and co- that. Racists come in all creeds and colors in Trinidad and those racists work in the bank, in public service, in government and in the private sector.
At some point, Indians and Africans need to unite against racism. People like that protester who think racists only come from one race are not helpful. If we all stand together, protest together, and be our brother's keeper, we can have a better country for all of us. If we allow the politics and the ethnocentric misleaders to divide us, all fall down.

But if they are not discriminating against others arent they free to choose to live their lives as they please?

There is a difference between ethno-centricity and racism. Racism has the critical component of the superiority, or inferiority, of a particular race.
An indian that wants to have an Indian wife or child does not, in and of itself, denote racism.
The protester is uniquely misinformed.

Want to see pics of the indian whose family braced him.
Seriously though, the protests that kicked off with George Floyd's murder have a lot of validation from long simmering racial tensions in the US. But as usual, good intentions pave the road on which the bandwagons are driven.
You cannot tell me that the racial tensions against non-whites is a good justification to snag swag, score woke points for social media and chook fire at Ramjattan cause he doh like you for his daughter.

It's what I've been saying all along that BLM is really a left wing anarchist antifa type group headed by a bunch of SJWs who are only intent on stirring up trouble. I can't see how US police racism affects us here and in case they are claiming that they are protesting against black oppression in Trinidad didn't the mighty Sparrow sing a Calypso some years ago saying "we are in the majority, we have a black government" Words that still holds true today, so what's the problem? But that's how left wing groups operate, instead of protesting crime or better yet actually doing something about it like forming neighborhood watch groups, being our brothers keeper, petitioning the COP to enable more responsible armed citizens etc instead they inspire a movement to remove a Columbus statue and ask why they can't marry Indians. Because of course that's the woke thing to do smh.
